lyssie: (Sam and Kara are not canon)
Because, Internet, I think I have a problem.

I've been trying to organize as I'm the most redundant of pack rats. I'm not even a third of the way through the 'ficlets' folder, which is literally a mass of text files with bits and pieces of ficlets sometimes divided into fandoms. I have made it a goal to list the contents of the files (and have enlisted a spreadsheet as they are my friends). So far, there are 203 ficlets recorded. Some are posted! So that's good.

But many aren't. Or aren't finished.

It's a good thing I can (probably) make more ficlet collections on AO3. Though how I'll manage the crossovers...

This has been a fairly productive month for posting fic. Most of the output being Sherlock (and Molly/Sherlock). The non-Sherlock:
- Scott & Bailey ficlets - I found one aside from the 5 Weddings... one that I could post, and thus, there is now a ficlet stash for S&B on AO3. Janet/Rachel is the one pairing so far.

- Spooks Bits'n'Pieces - As with the above, I had a 'weddings' ficlet that needed posting. I also had a bunch of other random ficlets that weren't anywhere. Ros/Adam is the wedding one. Most of them are Jo and Ros and angst.

- In the Place Where We Don't Belong - Doctor Who, Rose/Thirteen. It got mentioned on tumblr and my brain exploded. I always did have a thing for blondes, ok.

I also added an old porn battle fic (Alice/Duchess from Syfy's Alice) to the PB IX collection (that was eight frakking years ago. WHAT.)

And the Sherlock:
- Clever to Fall Apart Completely - Molly/Sherlock porn shenanigans.
- Through Every Torn Curtain is Burning Violins - Molly/Sherlock end of the worl means dancing on beds, right? fic.
- The Sun Doesn't Shine Forever - Sherlock kills Tom fic (well, sort of). Basically, the idea was mentioned on tumblr, and it's not like I don't have a history of murdering unwanted fiances (poor Pete Shanahan, it's not his fault he wasn't quite right for Sam--that would be Vala). I'm actually wishing I'd waited and also gone with the darker idea I'd had (Sherlock kills all of Molly's boyfriends for her)
- Artless Words Spoken in the Quiet Dark - Molly/Sherlock, post-series 4/episode insert to The Final Problem fic.
- Sherlock ficlets and drabbles - mostly an excuse not to write full-length fic. One of them is That Time Sherlock Was a Werewolf.
- Veils of Memory Infected With Dreams - Molly/Sherlock established marriage. But mostly an excuse for writing Molly stuck in a creeepy foggy forest.

And now I shall put myself to bed. At least it's Thursday tomorrow.

3. I was standing about five feet away when the bus stop sign fell over. Too windy, I assume. Normally, though? I'm standing right next to it (if it hadn't been raining, I wouldn't have been sheltering under the bridge). It looked the like the bottom of the pole rusted through.

4. The complicated thing about listening to Scandal in Belgravia is when you get to the point that you're wondering why Harry Pierce got one over on Mycroft Holmes and if this is how Erin inserted herself into multiple terrorist organisations.

And then when one researches, one discovers that Sherlock aired about three months after the end of series ten (and far before the Spooks movie), and one wonders if this is how Erin built her cover for the terrorist insertion (because it was splashy and ridiculous and convoluted, which is very Spooks-like)

Which leads to the following going nowhere and resurrecting people ficlet (spoilery for series 10 of Spooks?):Read more... )
lyssie: (If we told you what it meant we'd have t)
I actually did this about an hour after I saw it on my flist, courtesy [livejournal.com profile] lost_spook and then promptly forgot I'd written anything at all.

1: Pick five fandoms. List them in alphabetical order.

1. Elementary
2. Leverage
3. Motive
4. Person of Interest
5. Spooks

2: Visit this site to find your first RANDOM POEM OF POWER. Write down the 5th line (yes, even if it's an E.E. Cummings poem and you wind up with an apostrophe). Repeat five times and - you guessed it - list 'em in alphabetical order! (No cheating, mind! This is a challenge and it's always been about creativity.)

3: I think you can see where this is going. Write a very quick 50-word half-drabble for each fandom (try to do it all in one sitting - make your brain explode!), using the line from the poem as a prompt. You don't have to include it in the half-drabble - it's just inspiration.

4: Bravo! Have a cookie.
excuse me, I can't drabble to save my life, apparently. I hope this bodes well for other things )
lyssie: (Spooks are the angstiest spies ever)
No spoilers, and only a drabble, so no cut, either. Ahem. Spooks/St. Trinian's.

Ros had never really seen the point in being head girl, but then again, she was rich and she was used to being in charge. So it was perfectly natural to step into the gap when her predecessor left. It wasn't some sort of gift from her father; it was something Ros earned, if one considered a coup something one earned.

Later on in life, she would think back to that first day as head girl, and count herself lucky that a terrorist pointing a gun at her head was frivolous compared to what a St. Trinian's girl could pull.

(ftr: Ros was Posh Totty, Jo was an Eco Freak, Ruth was a Geek, and Zoe was probably an Emo--Tessa was probably one of those difficult ones who refused to pick a faction, but was also a head girl who confused everyone by not taking traditional sides. Connie was a Peacenik. I'm sure they had a whole hippie/peace/love section in St. Trinian's, once upon a time.)
