where did the time go idek
Dragoncon happened! I saw Havoc and Mr. Havoc for a bit (where they suffered Lyssie Is Working scatterbrained no concentration--it was day one of close, unfortunately), saw a couple of others for annual dinner thing. Spent most of Saturday sleeping, and the night avoiding everyone (did not feel social--no lie, I think I might be turning into an old lady hermit). Saw a couple more people on Sunday.
(and when I say 'saw', I spent a lot of time realizing that I have lost the ability to socialize during Covid, because I mostly sat around feeling awkward, and trying to remember how to small talk and such, and I maybe should get into some current canons? idek)
Spent most of the con rediscovering that I want my robot body soon, and science needs to get on that.
It is Sparktober (yay!), I... kinda have no motivation (blah), but I will, perhaps, try some AU silliness.
I've been listening to the John Moffat Poirot radio plays, and while they're all right, he sounds too old? Also, Hastings is played by Simon Williams, and I keep getting side-tracked wondering why Group Captain Gilmore is hanging out with Poirot (he is old enough to have met Poirot later in HP's life, though, so it sort of works. But I still keep expecting weird things to start happening or Allison and Rachel to show up).
I also listened to the June Whitfield Marple ones, and they're... ok. Some of them, though, are kind of terrible at telling the story, so if you haven't read the books or seen any of the adaptations, you'll be fucking lost as to why certain things happen.
