Doctor Who 7x5. Watched. Thoughts later.

Person of Interest 2x1. I MISSED you, shoooow. Oh, <3 (sadly, I find Root and the plethora of Black Ops White Dudes intensely boring. Unless they all kill each other in some sort of orgy of violence.)

Scandal 2x1. Hurrah. Olivia Pope is still amazing. Though I probably missed things, due to not caring about the president (skipping ahead is allowable).

Haven 3x1. Um. Someone please reassure me that the second episode is actually about Audrey, and not about a bunch of dudes fighting over her? Because I managed about three minutes of this episode before skipping in search of Audrey. Which didn't help, because sexy bruised and tied-up women isn't really a kink for me. Neither is cliche ranting from faceless and uninteresting dudes.

Revenge 2x1. <3 So glad this show is back. *happysigh* Emily Thorne, you are amazing.
lyssie: (Betty and Gladys are now BFFs lol)
1. Bomb Girls. THANK GOD IT'S BEEN RENEWED. wtf was that ending, show? AUGH. And yet, EEE! (seriously, this show is FULL OF WOMEN, and it's THEIR lives and relationships that drive everything. I will have time to attempt to do a pimping post tomorrow)

2. Revenge. Hey, there was a new episode, hurrah; AUGH is also a good reaction to the ending (and omgsodelicious--this show is so spoiling me, damn) (and I need to, like, organize my Thoughts on this show)

3. Person of Interest, stop making me ship Carter/Reese, dammit. it would be so wrong and hot
lyssie: (Det Carter is awesome)
I don't even know what the title was for this episode.
lyssie: (Romana ftw)
1. I have little to say on recent Person of Interest developments outside of Detective Carter, how are you so awesome? (I mean, the show is still amusing and etc, and I lie, because I also have capslocky commentary that amounts to being annoyed at being Ronned)

2. I audio-ripped Keeper of Trakken, Logopolis, Ghost Light and Curse of Fenric. so entertaining. (CoF holds up really well, GL is ridiculous and awesome and so gruesome--also, cross-dressing ladies, huzzah) Keeper is notable in that I have the suspicion the writers weren't quite sure about Nyssa (she bribes people and then shoots them with a laser), as she devolves a bit after this episode.

2a. Logopolis is meandering and god-damn, Doctor, stop transgressing the laws of time (note: Eleven still hasn't learned. Also, more Four in Eleven than I'd noticed before--picturing Four in Wedding of River Song is cheesy, yet oddly appropriate, even if Eleven is more Seven and Two)

2b. There's a fabulous moment where the Monitor and Four are talking about the Pharos Project on Earth, and how they're beaming radio signals out into space.
Monitor: I understand they're trying to get intelligent life to respond."
Four: Ah!

It was like watching two old fans go "LOL, NEWBS". Er, listening to them, that is. <3 (I suspect it was all in the intonation)

3. I'm terrified to find out how Castrovalva stands up, Monday.

4. Things I have not yet caught up on: Once Upon a Time (idk, my interest in Rumples died a quick death with the beginning of the episode from two weeks ago. meh). Things I have caught up on: Revenge (I have thoughts I should type into coherence), Person of Interest, Leverage.

5. I saw promo images of Katee Sackhoff's new tv show. IT HAS BEEN TOO LONG SINCE SHE HAS BEEN ON MY TV, OK.

6. While my roommates were watching Warehouse 13, I looked up for the occasional moments when Myka has nice cleavage and/or is being femslashy with HG.

7. I watched a bunch of Being Human (UK) last week, I need to organize my thoughts on that (mostly, ANNIIIIE). I tried the US version and, um, couldn't manage it (I don't think it's bad, I think I'd just reached my quota of "Two white dudes whine about how misunderstood they are"? I didn't manage to get past the s3 opener of the UK version, either, for pretty much the same reason--well, and the lack of a fast-forward option on netflix streaming)

8. I just watched the recent Marple adaption of The Pale Horse. Three DW alums, one Torchwood (and Being Human) alum, one Red Cap alum. Possibly others. Anyway, it was entertaining. Especially with how Miss Marple kept lying to the police (one time to his face, omg. <3) and stealing evidence from crime scenes (suddenly, it makes sense why I quite adore these newer adaptions. MISS MARPLE IS A PIRATE AND A THIEF AND GRIFTER. I bet she's Sophie's favorite auntie)

9. Speaking of Ghost Light, was Holmes active in 1883? *lazy*
lyssie: (Det Carter needs coffee)
1. I have thoughts on last week's OUaT, but they are nebulous for the moment.

2. I accomplished many things on Saturday, including signing the recall Walker petition. Huzzah.

2a. Also, there is a Walker support ad running where a dude talks about how Walker is a BFF to small businessmen. A dude who is, himself, head of a corporation whose goal is to destroy small businesses and send jobs overseas (he's a BFF of Wal-Mart).

3. Poking around LJ led me to the reaction posts on one of the Person of Interest communities. The vitriol leveled against Detective Carter is a bit frightening. If she were a man, there'd already be a mountain of hate!sex OTP fic about her and Reese. As she is not, they "don't understand" and "can't forgive" her, not to mention finding her uninteresting and dull. Oh, fandom. Never change in your obsession for the white cock.

4. That dude who isn't Bobby Drake on Warehouse 13 guested on Lost girl last week.

5. ugh, mornings. Why do they exist?
lyssie: (Fiona is smirking)
Oh well. TVS!

1. Person of Interest. I actually watched all of what was out there (six episodes, sheesh) Thursday night. It was highly entertaining, and I sort of deeply love and adore detective Carter. (I love that they're really going out of their way to NOT have "women in peril" plots, and, really, "men in peril" plots aren't really their bag, either)

2. Once Upon a Time. The third episode contained one of my personal kinks. The fourth episode has given me vague ideas for femslash. (it's hard to femslash in a show where two people are related, and the third is... idk. I find it hard to hate!ship here)

3. Wendy. Web-series, with some great visuals. It was entertaining.

4. Are You Being Served? I went through six discs. sigh. MAH CHILDHOOD. Also, Mrs. Slocumb makes an excellent Robin Hood. (I would pay money to see that version of Robin Hood. Sadly, it will never come to pass).
lyssie: (Chloe King sees what you did there)
1. I have Thoughts on Revenge percolating through my brains, but I will spare everyone until tomorrow (I do not wish to become That Person What Spams)

2. Incidentally, the song that played in Lost Girl 2x7 (towards the end, during Story Time), was Johnny Hollow's 'Aegis': http://www.megaupload.com/?d=86X8HB1S (as some might enjoy it)

3. I wrote Kara/Sam fic for the athon. It was a The Mummy crossover. It can be found here

4. Watched the pilot to Person of Interest, and it was highly cheesy in a "The Pretender called" way. Shall probably watch the rest soonish. (tbf, I think Revenge owes a great deal to TP, too)

5. Yes, I have a revenge kink. The Pretender. Revenge. Leverage. *happysigh*
