1. I have thoughts on last week's OUaT, but they are nebulous for the moment.

2. I accomplished many things on Saturday, including signing the recall Walker petition. Huzzah.

2a. Also, there is a Walker support ad running where a dude talks about how Walker is a BFF to small businessmen. A dude who is, himself, head of a corporation whose goal is to destroy small businesses and send jobs overseas (he's a BFF of Wal-Mart).

3. Poking around LJ led me to the reaction posts on one of the Person of Interest communities. The vitriol leveled against Detective Carter is a bit frightening. If she were a man, there'd already be a mountain of hate!sex OTP fic about her and Reese. As she is not, they "don't understand" and "can't forgive" her, not to mention finding her uninteresting and dull. Oh, fandom. Never change in your obsession for the white cock.

4. That dude who isn't Bobby Drake on Warehouse 13 guested on Lost girl last week.

5. ugh, mornings. Why do they exist?

What? I'm honestly confused what they could have to complain about Carter. I mean, that people are being bitchy and woman hating? No, that doesn't surprise me. But what has Carter supposedly done? You know, besides being AWESOME. And way better than the haters. :)

I have no idea. I'm just like "..." and "OBVIOUSLY WATCHING A DIFFERENT SHOW". Kinda like how people used to get different versions of Stargate than I did... I blame alternate universes.

I kinda get tired of the two boys and their stilted, stilted accents. And their cell phones that inexplicably sound with dial tone when you hang up. But not enough to quit the show, and Carter? Awesome.

Bwahahahah. My enjoyment is probably Pretender-related, in that it is all YAY SPIES AND GADGETS except not really spies, so. But yes, they do get annoying (and their MAGICKAL CELL PHONES are so awesome)

But yes, my main reason for watching is Carter, because they keep putting more of her in (and I heard a rumor Amy Berg is joining the staff, which might mean MORE Carter, so, yay)

Amy Berg confirmed it on Twitter - she's joining the staff as a producer/writer.

As for Carter - I LIKE seeing her backstory! I like seeing how she was a negotiator in Iraq, of all places! Uhm, hello? This woman has more guts than most men do! She's an awesome character and I feel sorry for her for being tricked by the CIA. Makes me wonder just who killed Reese's fiance, after all. Makes it seem like the "good guys" did it to cover their own asses.

Stilted accents: I sometimes think Jim Caviezel sounds like he's trying to fake an American accent. Is that what you mean? (The accent thing is just so weird, 'cause he was born and raised in the US.)

I was discussing the show with another person a while back. He mentioned that he thought the cadence of their speech was supposed to indicate how remote they were, how different from ordinary people and cetera. I think it's valid, but I also think that they need to tread carefully with it, as it does get tiresome after a while - at least for me.
