Skiffy comes through. For once.

For those of you into Ghost in the Shell, Skiffy plans on showing GitS: Solid State Society tomorrow night, for its 'ani-monday' block. 11 east/10 central. It's the third GitS movie, and it is an awesome, awesome movie.

Most likely sub-titled, sadly.

However, it's Stand-Alone Complex related, set a few years after the end of the second gig (from what I can tell), and has lots of Togusa and Batou.

eta: Someone needs to write a Torchwood/GitS crossover. With Captain Jack vs. Batou in snark.

Pridefest 2007

In a word: awesome.

In many words: The grounds were nice and uncrowded, although there weren't enough booths and things to buy from. I did, however, get a nice bag that I can take to work (instead of my bloody backpack). And a bumper sticker for my dad (Jesus was a liberal) which he will totally put on his car (dude, before the last election, he had a scrolling marquis LED thing with this long-ass message about why he wasn't voting for Bush)...

Most of the acts there were kinda crappy. And if I never hear music from 1996 again it will be too soon.

However. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts were just... incredible, awesome, wonderful, fabulous. And more. Seriously, when you follow 'Riddles' and the Bush clip with 'Fetish'? AWESOME. They played about half of 'Sinner' and a ton of other stuff, and it was just glorious. Also, her tits were shiny.

I got compliments on my gypsy skirt, which was also of the good. I made that thing over ten years ago as a one-off, never expecting to get so much use out of it (the bodice I made to go with it was crap). It's so versatile. *dances about*

AND FINALLY. There is Katee/Trucco RPF smut. It is of the good.
