Oh, toys!

So, lizardbeth_j alerted me to the fact that there is a Tia Dalma figure (from Pirates OTC) at the Disney store. So, in need of yet another kickass female action figure (GIRL FIGURES. YAY.), I hied myself over to fascistville Mayfair. And found that there is not only a Tia Dalma figure, but a Barbossa one, and of course Jack, Will, Liz and Davy Jones.

Jack, Will and Liz figures are... sadly made. They're ugly, compared to the three-inch versions (which I already have, and Elizabeth -- as has been noted -- is the only one of the three to stand well, keep her hat on AND hold her swords... Tsk, boys, you're letting the male sex down, there. Stand up!).

But, otoh, Barbossa is lovely. And awesome. And his HAT COMES OFF.

Replicarter is currently wearing it, while Tia and the Captain stare in disturbance. I suspect I really do need to get a digital camera, shortly. Because. Dude. Action figure theatre, man.

Anyway. Tia Dalma's figure wins over EVERYONE because she comes with a big jar of eyeballs.

Desktop: Elizabeth Swann

So, since I was watching Bones earlier, I made a desktop... Well, desktops on Wednesdays WAS a tradition for a while.

Anyway. The thing is, the PotC3 8" figures come with this really gorgeous backdrop. And it scanned really nice. So I had to make the following.

Replicarter, Chiana, Jean Grey, Anna Valerious, Leela (from Futurama), mini!Domino, Padme, s3 Dot, Dark Phoenix, Zhaan, Natasha Romanov, Zealot, that chick bounty hunter from Episode One of Star Wars, Hexadecimal, Lorna Dane, X-23 (one day soon, she will be Kitty Pryde, thank god for repaints), Xena, Deathbird, Blink, Phoenix, AndrAIa, Evo Storm, Susan Ivanova, Sue Storm, Mystique, Selene, s1 Dot, Sam Carter, oldskool Storm, Vala Mal Doran, Miho, Spiderwoman 2, Tia Dalma, Pirate!Zhaan, Emma Frost, Spiral, Hawkgirl, Domino, Buffy Summers, Dana Scully, Jane Vasco, Major Kusanagi, mini!Hepzibah, mini!Kara Thrace and mini!Sam Carter (who is really Kara Thrace, but, bah).

That is a LOT of estrogen.

Sadly, I could not find Eowyn or Elizabeth Swann. I suspect they're the victims of 'cleaning the apartment'.

There are also: one raptor, one viper, one starfury, one centauri warship and one Colonial One. aka, Sharon Valerii, Louanne Katraine, Captain Lochley, one of Londo's wives, and Laura Roslin.

You do NOT want to mess with my destkop.

Oh, and there is a Wraith Marius. And Batman the Gay Blade. But they're busy being frightened.
