Came home to a kitten. Or rather, I came home to what I thought was a ferret, which turned out to be a kitten, who was crying her head off and rather desperate. It took all of thirty seconds to coax her out to meet me, and then she was a purry little monster.

No tags, and given her state, she's probably been on her own for a couple days. I figured she'd had owners who went to UWM and then couldn't keep her, so they left her.

Took her to the Humane Society, where we got Quin. Drove most of the way there with a purring kitten perched on my tits. Having a large rack is good for something, apparently. She was not thrilled with the box I put her in, and once I got to the counter, I just held her. Found out, they don't take strays.

Got directions, and drove to the Animal Control building which was about five minutes away. Drove with, again, a purring kitten on my chest. I think she liked knowing what the hell was going on.

Being smart, I did not put her in a box this time.

I left her in a cage, not quite happy, but at least they'll take care of her--a week to see if anyone claims her, then she'll go to the HS. She's really cute and cuddly and affectionate, so I'm hoping someone will claim her. And if not, she should go really fast.

Now, I cam showered and squeaky clean, since I don't think I should spread anything she might've been carrying to Quin.
