So, someone replied to the Dirk thing somewhere with a Patsy and Edina icon, and caused my brain to spew the following. (I would seriously try writing it, but it would end up being, like, 100-word snippets of scenes, because the show does have a rather visual and comedic edge to it, and unlike Farscape, it's even HARDER to translate)
If BSG were in the AbFab universe:
Edina would watch it because it's the Hip, Now thing, and all the cool kids are watching it (she calls Doctor Who brilliant but mind-numbing, and Patsy loathes Ten-inch and claims something salacious).
Saffy is all disturbed and, "Mum, but haven't you noticed how sexist some of the roles are? And let's not get into the child abuse, because that's not what I'd call good writing."
And of course, Pats declares Saffy is jealous because Starbuck is far cooler (though Pats seems to think Kara's a man) than her.
Bubble is sekritly D'anna's biggest fan and sometimes blocks time to call Lucy Lawless' agent, but never has time to go through with it (or forgets).
In the end, Pats declares a toast to Ellen frakkin' Tigh and passes out, muttering about Dirk and his lack of... presence.
And Edima chases down Hatch's agent and babbles about how she'd always thought he was the more attractive one.
(they end with an interview with Jamie Bamber, who spends the whole time looking thoroughly confused as Pats is snickering and drinking, Edina is speechless and Saffy keeps hammering him about the various gender-role paradigms and what it means to the future of Sci-Fi TV. And she calls him Zarek.)
