*sleepy* icon meme

I am lazy, and do not care to pick icons (also, roomie's birthday tomorrow and more apartment-clearing to do). But rowan_d picked five icons and now I ramble on about them.

1. Tachikomas are the AI-tanks in Ghost in the Shell: Stand-Alone Complex, and they're children. They learn and change, shift and grow. And they are also tragic and adorable and CUDDLY. would like one, pls. Also, they would totally be all BFF, yay! at each other. If they knew the language.

2. Romanadvoratrelundar, version one, as played by the lovely Mary Tamm. Lots of people are Romana fans, usually of the second version (Lalla Ward). I like both, but Romana 1 won out when I was considering icons. Also, I love the coloring in this one and the way it all comes together. I was intensely proud that she came out looking so lovely. Of course, she is lovely even without the shading and coloring.

3. This, and the Billy icon below, are (ironically) in a row, with the original Pirates icon above (Kara/Sam). Roslin and Adama, from BSG, as pirates. Space pirates, to be exact. Though, at this stage, they're more merchants and the pilots and ships under them are doing the smuggling and piracy. It is unfinished fic around here, somewhere.

4. Billy K., pirate minion of Roslin's. He has to schedule things like her 'meetings' with Captain Adama (and then bitches to his opposite number on Adama's crew, Dee). He is awesome and scary in that way that good quartermasters are, and he can find anything. He is also adorable.

5. Sam Carter, SG-1. Another icon that I was quite pleased with the overall color effects. And she is my goddess (on a mountaintop, which she was sort of standing on at the time). I'm also fond of the wind blowing her hair and making her look like she's about to smack someone or jump their bones. Like, maybe she can't decide?

ooh. What not to do in SG fic (Lantis or SG-1)

Ooh, hey.

1. So, I finally got rid of two long boxes of weeded-out comics yesterday. And apparently, the dude at Downtown Books took my "I don't want money, I just want them out of my apartment!" as desperate, and then asked my roommates if it was leftover from an ex-boyfriend. AHAHAHAHAHAH. No.

2. Ff'net has added a new email so we can harass them about adding Sam to the BSG section, it's categories@fanfiction.com . SADLY, I do not think I can get away with telling them to add Punchline and Outlaw to their list. SIGH.

3. My apartment is slowly getting cleaner (yay!).

4. I bought me some pirates last night, yays.
