I wouldn't be awake (and I may go back for a nap), except the cat was being obnoxious.

Discovered the store-bought quiche I made for dinner last night was so bad (I only ate half a slice, and, bleh), that I actually left it out. Oops. Also. It was too bacony and bland. Blecth.

Am still too sleepy to contemplate BSG and DW, though I think I will make separate posts for them. Besides, I have two episodes of each to comment on. Although, I can't actually remember a damned thing about last week. Hrm. Maybe if I wait a week, I'll forget this one too?

I watched SG-1 last night, and realized how much I missed Jonas and Janet. I also missed the show when it was... fun? Season ten had its fun moments, but not so much. Sigh. Maybe it's just that eight annoyed me so.

There were lots of great Sam/Teal'c moments, too. And surprise Ba'al. I always forget he's in Fallen/Homecoming.

Hrm.

Things to do today:

* Walk over to Whole Foods for bleu cheese walnut bread and possibly good quiche. And hair dye. And ice cream. OMG IT IS SO GLORIOUS OUT THERE.
* Dig out books and finish pulling the Next Gen/DS9 novels out of the morass.
* Feed the cat.
* Open as many windows as possible, air out apartment.
* Type up fic from the mile-high stack of notes that is about to fall off the bookshelf. Maybe even throw in something from the notebook that was just found.
* Cull any books that will never be read again.
* Stop lamenting the fact that half your Pratchett is still missing.
* No, you can't stop to re-read Atom Bomb Blues.
* Empty dishwasher. Fill back up--
* Walk over to Pick'n Evil Corporation'Save and buy dishwashing fluid, since you're almost out.
* Try to get all the action figures in one place. (AHAHAHAHAHAHAH) No, they can't take over the bookshelf.
* This is important. Listen to the Breeders' 'Pod' again. Try not to claw your ears out at the badness. Update: 'Pod' has made it to my computer, but gotten no further. I suspect I shall have to combine this with the task below. Ok. This album isn't as bad as I remembered it being. It's still no 'Last Splash', but it's not awful. Also. 'Happiness is a Warm Gun' is gorgeous. (and 'Metal Man' is an awful track)
eta: * Finish sbuck daily update. I knew I'd forgotten something.
eta2: * Clean kitchen sink out.
* Eat something. Update: Popcorn and elf cookies sort of count. Even better? Croissant thingies and iced tea count.
* Get all your damn comics in one place so doubles can be sorted out. Sucker someone to take all of them off your hands. Update: sorta done. Man. There's a lot.
eta3: * Pick up all the damn fliers down in front of the door and throw them out.
* Clean off the front door, the glass and ironwork are coated in yuck. As this requires you to stand outside in the breeze, green growing things and sunlight, bask. Even though it took almost half a bottle of glass cleaner, yeesh. Then again, no one's washed it since before you moved in.

Man. So, I'm going through a box of comics (I was serious about sorting them all in one place, and they're now... all in one place), and I get to the bottom, and it's "X-Men, X-Men, Gen X, Ruse #17 (I knew I had that issue!), --knitting needles..."

Yes. There were a set of knitting needles in the bottom of the box.

wtf.

Did Scott Summers get bored and decide to learn a hobby? You know he'd do it. He'd be bored, or something, and knitting is something he doesn't have to really concentrate on, and he'd be halfway done with a hideous sweater in green and puce for Bobby, and he'd figure out how to defeat Sinister once and for all.

Or something.

Jean always wears the lumpy purple and orange scarf he made her that one year, even though it's ugly.

Huh. It's all dark and windy outside now. Surprise thunderstorm is... not being sneaky?

Anyway. Is breaktime. I'm starving, and my back is starting to go, "Hey. Uh, you know that whole 'deskjob' thing? Yeah."

Sadly, my tea is being disappointing. I might have to go down to the car and fetch the bottle of cherry 7up.

eta: The boys downstairs are listening to jazz. Like. Wouldn't be out of place in an episode of Poirot set in the 20's jazz. Some days, I wonder about them.

It's sad. The camera is in Chicago, right now. Otherwise. I could take pictures to show off my very well-protected bookshelves.

Also. Since, y'know, they were probably tired of being buried, I HAVE UNBOXED MY CYLONS.

Dear toy people, PLEASE MAKE A MINI ANDERS SOON.

eta: I couldn't find mini!Helo... And I had mini!Chief, so I knew the other boy couldn't be far away--and then I remembered. And lo, yes, he is still happily seated on top of roomie's monitor. Between a DRD and wee!Thanos.
