Cleaning is not in my blood

Man. So, I'm going through a box of comics (I was serious about sorting them all in one place, and they're now... all in one place), and I get to the bottom, and it's "X-Men, X-Men, Gen X, Ruse #17 (I knew I had that issue!), --knitting needles..."

Yes. There were a set of knitting needles in the bottom of the box.

wtf.

Did Scott Summers get bored and decide to learn a hobby? You know he'd do it. He'd be bored, or something, and knitting is something he doesn't have to really concentrate on, and he'd be halfway done with a hideous sweater in green and puce for Bobby, and he'd figure out how to defeat Sinister once and for all.

Or something.

Jean always wears the lumpy purple and orange scarf he made her that one year, even though it's ugly.

Huh. It's all dark and windy outside now. Surprise thunderstorm is... not being sneaky?

Anyway. Is breaktime. I'm starving, and my back is starting to go, "Hey. Uh, you know that whole 'deskjob' thing? Yeah."

Sadly, my tea is being disappointing. I might have to go down to the car and fetch the bottle of cherry 7up.

eta: The boys downstairs are listening to jazz. Like. Wouldn't be out of place in an episode of Poirot set in the 20's jazz. Some days, I wonder about them.

I don't think I got past the walnut bleu cheese bread. That sounds awesome!

It's exceedingly yummy. I never thought it would be two complementary tastes, but they are. You can find it at Whole Foods.

My favorite salad is blue cheese, walnuts and either craisans or apples, so I love the two together. But the bread sounds amazing. I'm heading to whole foods tomorrow to find some (or maybe I'll make some myself, if I have time).

I am so craving this now - and I've never even had it!

Mmm. That sounds good, actually.

It's a one or two-day a week thing at the bakery here. You might have to ask what day they make it. (If they don't make it, I will be saddened)

RUSE! God, I loved that comic. It was so random in its reliability (of actually being delivered to the comic shop) that I know I missed an issue or two towards the end. I should really see what I'm missing and try and complete it through Ebay. Because it really irritated me that I couldn't complete the collection. Actually, it irritated me that it ended, period, but I guess there isn't much to be done when the publisher goes bankrupt. But that book was priceless.

Man. Emma is. There are simply no words, right now, for how awesome Emma Bishop is. Possibly because I haven't re-read in a while.

Also. There should be a crossover, one day. Emma Bishop vs. Daniel Jackson.

But the comic as a whole was also awesome (despite the bit in the middle where there were GIANT DRAGONS AND DINOSAURS WTF). *happysigh*
