HELLO, flist

I do exist. Really and truly. Unfortunately, the last two days, my choices are "write fic as started at work" or "write post talking to flist". Tonight is really no different, but I'm distracted from Kara and Sam.

So, to recap the last week or so:

I still hate my job.

Not!Squeencon was awesome, with lots of bad tv, chattering, and chocolate.

Someone needs to do a Kara/Anders vid the Snow Patrol's 'Set Fire To the Third Bar'. No, really. Also? SP kind of own my shippy soul right now. Deeply.

Which leads me to, well, the contemplation of doing a Kara Thrace/Sam Anders fansite. I'd probbly end up calling it 'Hands Open'; in keeping with the Snow Patrol theme, the porn stats page would be called 'Setting fire to the third bar'. I think Gaius is the only one who's had more porn, really.

I also need to write Kara songfic to Daughtry's 'Home'.

Today, I was so mind-blasted that the only thing I could write at lunch was "I have a hot OTP. Yes."

Yesterday, though, I created a new plot bunny maker. The results... have been interesting, to say the least. A plot bunny maker, for those wondering is--ok, you remember those fortune-teller things you'd make in middle school? They'd be folded and stuff, and you'd pick a number, then a color, then a number (or whatever), and find out your fortune? I've modified it. Character, Character, word/suggestion. It helps that a lot of SF people have names that are similar. So Sam covers more than one person, as does Harry. Depending on level of boredom, more than one character may end up in something.

The current one turns up prompts like "Evie, Ronon, 'between the lines'" or "Tia Dalma, Kara/Sam, 'genocide'" or "Harry, Sharon, 'memory'".

Though the last is currently Harry, Harry and.... no one else, just yet. British Navy vs. Wizards. I'll get back to you on that.
