Sep. 24th, 2004 06:14 pmShould we boycott Proctor & Gamble? After all, they test on animalls (ohmigod!)
And yet...
And yet today we got this email....
I wanted to let you know that you may perhaps see a drop in P&G product sales. There is a national boycott ongoing regarding P&G deciding to enter the "diversity wars" with a $10,000 contribution aimed at repeal of an ordinance in Cincinnati that prohibits the city from passing any laws that grant special status to any gourp nbased on their sexual preference.
"The pro-family boycott against Procter & Gamble is gaining steam. The company is taking heat after putting its official support and money behind the homosexual political agenda.
The number of people pledging to stop buying Tide and Crest is growing by the hour. Many are registering their support on the American Family Association (AFA) Web site, according to the AFA's Randy Sharp.
"Hundreds of people each hour are signing up to boycott Procter & Gamble," Sharp said. "Currently we have almost 150,000 people in the first week who agree that Procter & Gamble doesn't deserve their business."
I myself will be buying NO p&G products - especially NO Tide or Downy - I do not care if they are on sale or not.
And I say.. fuck that bullshit. Stupid motherfucker, pushing his narrow-minded morals on me!
And I could NOT say that in email (L's response was nice and restrained and mentioned not the whole political thing).
So! On behalf of Proctor & Gamble: Boycott Idiots.
Smack them. Hit them. Pretend they don't exist. Trip them into traffic.

And mock everyone else.

there's a mountain...
Sep. 24th, 2004 08:10 pmThought of this at work:
...If Nate is King Arthur, does that make Sam Gawain?
And Morgaine is... the crazay Askani lady my brain is missing. And Vivian is Aliya. And Merlin is Ray/the Bug (the Bug. He's more manipulative)... Of course, this makes Dom *NOT* Guinevere. For Dom is... yeah. Not.
In other news, I have written Teyla/Shep. I suppose I'd feel dirty, but... eh. It's not bad.
Now to finish it.
And Elly wrote me porn (or just spammed it. The difference is splitting hairs, yo. ;). And Aj and Timey had a slapfight on comicfangirls. And it is Friday. Ohmigod is this a good thing.
Hrm. *goes back to prodding people*

hey, look.. fic
Sep. 24th, 2004 09:49 pmX-Files fic, surprisingly. Huh. Liz's fault.
Disclaimer: Not mine. Set: Er... I have vague knowledge of things that occurred after about s3. I think this one's in 8 or 9, though. Rating: R. Sex. Bad language.
Notes: was talking to Liz, and made a comment about how I have trouble writing Scully alone because in my head she requires Mulder for definition (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but...). And then we were talking about... God, Daniel Jackson's hair, I think. And this came to me. Written under the influence of Cibo Matto, Nickelback and The Cardigans.
