Nothin' I do...
Jun. 20th, 2004 09:31 pmSo, I was talking to my mother this evening. I called to wish dad Happy dad's day, and stuff. Anyway. Was talking to mom, and she mentioned having caught an episode of USA Touching Evil.
It was the one where Rivers gets gutted, and she recognized it even though she came in at, like, the end or something.
So she's talking about it, and how it was all kind of flat, and stuff (as compared to UK TE, which has, she says, 'edge'--not that I disagree), and mentions that Rivers. Lives. My shout of: "Oh, for cryin' out LOUD!" could probably be heard three streets away. I mean, Jesus fucking Christ (which is what I wanted to say, but this is my *mother*. That would be wrong to say to her). Talk about completely ripping the poignant edge out of something.
Completely.
I wandered over to the TE board on USA's site, and have discovered it's not been renewed. Dear, god, don't let it be renewed. Please. I also discovered that the people on that board are scary. Scary. Scary. People. They make every Stargate fan I've ever been disturbed by seem completely normal. No going back to that board for Lyssie, for Lyssie needs her sanity. Really.
My mother, btw, likes Bobby Goren.
