May. 31st, 2004 09:00 pmWatching Scorched Earth, I am again reminded of bad commentary from Timey and I about Daniel's relationship to Lotan... Almost as fun as talking over Smallville.
*yawn*
Have spent weekend dubbing Stargate. And confirming the scarybitchgeekknowledge I now have. Now, if I can just get back into the Marvel groove...
I've also noticed that Sam Carter wears straps on her legs. They're there for the whole holster support thing. But. But... I like the idea that they're her "I want sex!" tell. Jack has them, too (as do Daniel and Teal'c, but I don't care if they want sex... well, Teal'c, maybe... Someone needs to find Shon'auc again). But Jack's are the more practical kind.
Have been tempted to expurgate episodes. Did it once, with Secrets. I have only the Sam and Jack and Hammond bits. Which are much more interesting than Daniel and Sha're. And take up less time. Not that I don't heart Teal'c, but...
Sometimes, Daniel bores me.
Caught Forever in a Day on Friday. It has some good stuff (Sam proves once again she is the Queen of Repression).
But. One thing I LOVE about Daniel. Is the episodes where he gets to be insane/crazy/abastard/etc... Need, for instance. There's thi beautiful throne room scene where Daniel's SO high. And Jack isn't. And, and... I spent the entire scene laughing my ASS off. Legacy is good for it, too. And Lifeboat (well, actually, that was good for the whole Janet the Bitch moments). Getting sidetracked.
Dude, some of these episodes needed someone with cold harsh logic to smack at them. It takes the ENTIRE episode of Scorched Earth to figure out, "Hey, we could send the Enkarans elsewhere..." *mutter* (plus, the whole, "we didn't go there, 'cause it had intelligent life" but, y'know, the Enkarans were on THIS planet... Sigh. C'mon, guys. Logic! IT's your friend! Think like Jack. "Is it simple? Is this logical?")
(Touchstone... Touchstone makes me sad)

Completely distracted, now... And Jack doesn't even have hat hair. Damn, I'm sad.
