Up where the air gets thin
Oct. 24th, 2018 11:43 pm1. There is a friending meme over thisaway for the two (three?) people who do not overlap.
2. I have written far more fic in the last two weeks than the entire last two years. Possibly. Well, at least, I've posted more fic in the last two weeks than in the last year. (yes it's all Sherlock, Molly/Sherlock, and fluff. idc, it is my niche and I am sometimes good at it)
3. Though I do need to polish up a set of 'weddings' ficlets and post them to their respective fandoms (I dislike multi-fandom collections when I'm searching for things to read. I can't be the only one, even if these all started life as "five weddings that didn't happen and one that probably did")
4. Mary/Irene hen night is mostly finished aside from bridging the hen party to the morning after. I'm trying to decide if it will descend into smut. It's also disconcerting to realize that I had this headcanon about Mary long before BBC Sherlock gave their Mary a sekrit agent past life. My Ritchie Mary[& Irene] headcanon: Mary is a con artist who has swindled some of the richest in Europe, likes stealing things and pitting her wits against the best. When she decides to settle down, she picks John Watson and discovers that she does, in fact, love him. Due to convention, she's going to marry him because she wants children. Her past is mostly hidden, and her meeting with Holmes in the first movie was entirely staged to give him the correct impression--Irene was in London to assist with distractions as needed and also because Moriarty had something on her. Also, Mary and Irene were competitors/lovers/partners in crime. A lot.
4a. All of which seems contrived and based on BBC, except it was plotted out long ago, but never posted. Because I hit writer's block/inertia/lack of confidence in my abilities, whatever you want to call it.
