For the record, the person who told me women don't need female characters and should just learn to identify with the male ones was actually a commenter in someone else's journal.

Today, btw, was the day of ANGRY CHICK SINGERS. First a double-dose of Metric and The Cardigans and Sneaker Pimps (on mix cds), then Tori Amos. I tried to listen to Molly's Yes and decided, four songs in, that BOYS ARE STUPID AND WHINY, THROW ROCKS AT THEM. Er. And then put Boys for Pele back on and shamelessly sung along with 'Horses'.

And I possibly think someone should do a Gaius Baltar vid to 'Father Lucifer'.

And, on a slightly sobering note, a multi-fandom video of female characters being threatened with sexual violence to 'Precious Things'.
