well, damn.
Nov. 2nd, 2008 03:16 pmIt's not every Sunday your sister demands you don't talk politics to her because you're 'depressing' her with your facts.
In other news, we went to a Halloween party last night and watched various things. Some were stupid (like, srsly, horror movies are kinda blah for me, unless there's a good psychological component a la the original Haunting or House on Haunted Hill). But we watched part of Theatre of Blood which was awesome (must find and watch all of, as it was fabulous and Diana Rigg was quite magnificent as well). And then watched Ginger Snaps, which seemed to be shaping up to be about how awesome women are and then fell into an after-school special about how your sister might not like you so much when she gets her period, coupled with girls who like sex (and violence!) are inherently bad and should be killed/straightened out/destroyed.
Also, I do understand why there's femslash for the movie. It's not like they acted like sisters.
We didn't actually see the end of the movie, but I can guess how it went.
Sigh. I would like another day off, though.
