Seriously. Some days, I don't want to go to work. Like today? Yeah. And I didn't get breakfast. Only thing that made me go was taking Captain Jack and promising myself an hour (or so) at Panera with their internets.

omg.

Anyway. Tonight, I will have thoughts on NCIS. And. Stuff. But let me just note that Gibbs + any woman in power (or with power over him) = HAWT. Cmdr. Faith Coleman? Hollis Mann? Jen Shepard? OH GOD. Hot.

Musings...

So, I was considering (and still am) turning my list o' women into a meme (similar to those "would you have sex with..." ones, but "have you written?" instead), and [livejournal.com profile] lizardbeth_j (very innocently) suggested I limit it to only the women I have written.

The thing is.

See.

I've been writing fan fiction since 1998. And I have always had a thing for female characters (though Pete Wisdom, Jack O'Neill, Sam Anders, etc. have certainly wormed their ways into my heart). Which means I've written a lot of fic about a lot of women.

So, I could limit it to that, but I think I'm going to have to limit it further. No cameos, no background characters. Either protagonist or secondary/ensemble characters who have some sort of contribution to the plot (so, in, say, the Torchwood/BSG fic, Tosh and Sam Carter count, Gwen and Janet are only bit players and don't--though this makes the BSG/NCIS one difficult to judge, since it's truly an ensemble piece, so, argh--).

I'm also limiting it to fic actually finished/published.

On the flip side, I did a list of male characters at work and it's a bit shorter, though close in size to the list o' women.

Ok, here's how this works.

You can use your own measure for what constitutes 'written'. I used major/secondary character with lines/action/plot impact. Sometimes, it was hard to tell, and sometimes, I just threw up my hands and went "I know XYZ was in that fic!" Unfinished fic did not count, otherwise there'd be another ten-fifteen on there.

Italics for the characters you've written 1-3 times.
Bold the ones you've written 4-9 times.
Italics and bold for the ones you've written 10+ times.
Underline the ones you're intending to write, or have in unfinished story form.
Leave alone the ones you don't write/haven't written.
Add up to five that you have written (if they're not on here).

Yes. I have written all of these women. I can pull links for you, if you insist. I did not, however, italics/bold/underline any of them. Because that would take all night.

Feel free to disseminate at will...

*stares at fic*

Oh, shit. I remember where Daisy is from now.

*dies of laughter*

eta: Daisy was Sam Anders' nickname for a while at Fandom High.

This is very wrong. Damn you, subconscious mind. DAMN YOU.
