Tooth: they did another root canal, and it drained quite a bit. They also found that one of four canals wasn't filled (I'm betting that's why I had cold/hot problems). So. Packed it with stuff to kill germs, then put in a temp filling.
And then they drained the abscess on my gum. Which was nice, if it seems to not have done much, since it's filled back up again. (note: and the draining is probably part of why it hurt)
Sigh. But unfortunately, all that work aggravated the tissues and by the time they were filling it, I could feel everything they were doing.
I honestly don't think they realized how much pain I was in--I'm not sure I did, either, until I was trying to drive home. I don't actually remember making an appointment for the two-week thing, though I know I did. I only sort of remember driving like a crazy woman, because I couldn't stop until I got home. Because home was where the hydrocodone was.
Called in, left what was probably a very incoherent message on my boss's machine, took drugs, then sat in front of the tv trying to out-last the pain. (ice pack on my cheek helped a little. It was at least distracting).
Watched part of an episode of Homicide that I've seen before, and discovered that the episode of BW I'd dvr'd before Reactor was an episode of SG-1. Now. I like SG-1, but I've seen most of season nine, and I wanted BW.
Drugs started kicking in and I staggered off to bed, where my neck complained about sleeping on my left side, I mostly ignored it, and I had lots of wacky dreams (again). sigh. Well, it IS a narcotic.
I think I shall take some more ibuprofen and buy some soup. Eating might be an idea. Not that I can chew.
