SFF: The NCIS Edition

NCIS, season four: So much teamy goodness and badasserie all around.

As some of you may know, nique and I adore NCIS, especially Ziva (she's kinda Domino, with a day job, really). Unfortunately, for the entirety of season four, she worked Tuesdays, and I taped (mostly faithfully), but didn't watch (except sometimes. Like Friends and Lovers). It is now nearly time for season five, and thus, I've dusted off the tapes.

We got quite a bit marathonned on.... er... Sometime earlier this week.

I don't think I have specific spoilers, but I suppose I should be kind and cut anyway.

But first, let me once again note that NCIS, often considered misogynistic, has three major female characters, and at least two lesser female characters who are all incredibly well-drawn and fairly damned awesome. And you don't mess with ANY of them. (If Ziva, Abby, Jen, Michelle, or Hollis hit a man, he stays DOWN. Contrast that with Flash Gordon tonight, where the chick beat some guy up, and Flash had to hit him again to make him stay down. Ugh.)

Icons, icons, and way too many frakking icons.

So, it's been a while since I updated my icon pages.... So long that there's more than 600 icons to add to the BSG, SG-1, Atlantis, comicbook and misc. pages. And I thought updating the fic side was going to be painful.

You know, I remember when each page had the icons laid out with descriptions... a la:


Character: Monica, from the movie 200 Cigarettes (played by Martha Plimpton)
Text: 'try me'
Notes: I really do love this movie far more than is healthy. (and later, I'm totally posting my BSG=200 Cigarettes mini-bios. Because, seriously, Lee as Eric? Totally works.)

Now, they're all stacked five in a row, with numbers and notes at the very end. And upwards of 200 icons a page. That's a lot of frakking icons, man.

I think I may even have to split the BSG pages again, AND sort the SG pages by character (at least I've already got the Sam icons sort of sorted-out already). This could take me a while.

eta: It further doesn't inspire confidence now that the entire site is unreachable. Huh. At least I got my story uploaded.
