So, anyway, back a few months ago, TV Guide ran their little "enter and win a free BSG comic!" sweepstakes. And I won, randomly.

I'd kind of forgotten until I came home today to find a UPS express envelope awaiting me. I figured, from the TV Guide return address, what it must be and opened it.

And let me tell you, UPS shipped this puppy with CARE.

The enclosed form letter has obviously been through a mangler, right down to creases, crinkles, and a large chunk taken out of the right side. The chunk is NOT in the package.

The enclosed comic?

Well, it's #0, which I've got. It's signed by Greg Pak, which I don't have... And it's obviously been through a war. It's battered, looks like it got stepped on, AND the lower corner of the side that's supposed to open is stuck together. I don't know with what. Possibly water.

Conclusion? Someone opened this puppy, decided they were pissed that it wasn't anything important and mangled it before closing it back up and sending it on.

Thank you, UPS. You're SO the tightest ship in the shipping business. Really.

I could be wrong, but I suspect that Kara/Sam Carter--despite being a niche--got the first actual community for BSG femslash on lj. Not to mention, some of the very first femslashy fic.

Also. I need to figure out how my goal to get Kara laid by every member of Galactica is going...

hrm. So far, I've got: Helo, Lee, Boomer, Ellen Tigh, William Adama, Gaeta, Chief, D'Anna, Six, Saul Tigh (iirc), Dee, Billy and Sam Anders... hrm. Who next? (and who am I missing. I should go back through fic and make a list). And, of course, Sam Carter.

Note to self: write the damn Sue-Shaun fic

ALSO. Apparently the Sheppard/Weir and Sheppard/Teyla shippers are having a fight. Where is it, and do I need to bring popcorn?
