I felt I could run forever...
Jul. 27th, 2006 10:31 pmThe thing about Survival is... well, the thing is, it's very obvious they had no budget. And yet, even with no budget, oldskool Who still managed to go to planets that were not Earth. Something that newskool Who, with its massive budget, has managed all of ONCE. That's kind of fucking sad, really.
So, anyway. Survival. It's about Ace wanting to go home, and the Doctor being bored and thus finding something to do. Which ends up including the master and canibalism. Er, the Doctor doesn't go round eating Time Lords, but the Master considers it. It also has a planet which is alive in some way, and which changes the people that inhabit it, and bio-engineered scavenging evil kittens with psychic powers and teleportational abilities.
It's also kind of about growing up and moving on, and deciding where your home is.
Sadly, I suspect if I'd a clearer picture and sound quality, I'd be able to tell more of what was going on. Pity.
