Perhaps her life is not what it seems
Feb. 22nd, 2004 01:29 pmA.j. came to visit us over this weekend. It was fab. We watched lots of Grumpy Old Man (Stargate: SG1), and British drama. Red Cap, and some Touching Evil, and I almost had time to show them The Vice. (I also want to show them Mother Love. Because, Diana Rigg? So beautifully psycho).
This is my last week at Northwestern Mutual. Hopefully, I will be given another assignment soon. (good god, It would suck if I wasn't--rent will be paid next weekend, so I need money to live on after that).
Have been very damn good and not bought the next Preacher tpb. Did pick up a cheap Stormwatch tpb, though. Mmm. Ellis.
We sent Aj home with all sorts of goodies: Red Cap (everything we had), Touching Evil s3, both Something for Kate albums (heh. heh. heh.), Portishead (Dummy, and the Live cd), and a few random songs.
But we had fun.
I joined a Red Cap mailing list. It's rather amusing to be on it, because this is like a fandom in its infancy. And until recently, I felt like the only person who'd been in a fandom before. But! Luckily, there is someone who has been around (X-Files, Stargate, Farscape... *snicker* This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship), and we're starting a Round Robin -- We'll have Aj, too! And someone else said, "Hey, that could be fun." And Timey is going to be their waitress. Er... It begins: "Mulder, Roper and Crichton walk into a bar... and sit down at a table with Colonel Jack O'Neill." Heh.
But this list is... vaguely amusing. Someone on it has actually said that Red Cap is not a 'cult' show. I laughed. We have upwards of 50 posts a day! That, my friends, says 'cult' to me. ;)
Hole's "Celebrity Skin" album has been growing on me. I didn't like it at first, because it seemed like Hole meets the Go-Gos. It still is, sort of. But it's closer to Hole meets the Go-Gos, Garbage, and someone really really fucked up in the head. Enter: Courtney Love. *g*
Put everything on my winamp playlist. I have 2040 songs. Colour me disturbed. About 100 of them were downloaded, I think. The rest are from my cds... I am so sad.
Hrm. Should go back to cleaning my room, so it's not a mess. I need shelving, damnit!
