Y'know, I might dislike PK Tech Girl, because of Gilina, mainly. I just... She's the quintessential Mary Sue, in a way. However. I do like the episode for other reasons besides her.

For one, there's Aeryn's line where she tells John she found him... interesting.

Which is amusing, and the look on his face is priceless.

For another, there's the Zelbinion herself. She's just fucking gorgeous in all her CG glory. Pity there aren't more shots of her. I don't know why she draws me. Perhaps it's the destroyed majesty that's there. A decaying imperialism that clings to the surface of her slowly drifting hulk.

But I like her.

Durka and Rygel are also amusing.

Aside from that, there's a few of the really good type of Farscape scene. The silent ones, where more said with a look than a thousand words.

Hrm.

*distracted* I can't find a good shot of the fucking abbatoir from Event Horizon. Damn....

reduced to staring blankly...

I made a mistake last night. One which I'm even now regretting.

Around about 2am, I wrote a short little atmosphericy piece on the Zelbinion.

Round about 3am, while sitting around doing nothing much, I got slammed with a plot. Ideas, situations, people *talking* at me. The fic from hell had arrived.

I typed. And typed. And wrote over 7,000 words before 7am, when I stopped not because I was done, but because I literally couldn't type, my hands were shaking so. (when I have to retyp /quit three times to get it right, it is damned time to go to bed).

But I outlasted everyone in 'cafe, except Pete. I saw Stacy get off work, Ryss go to bed.... I even saw Acey for the first time in months and months.

And I went to bed with the sun shining so brightly I had to pull the covers over my eyes.

Was it worth it? Ask me when it's all over, and the damned thing has been posted.

But I can say this. It reduced my dreams to strangeness, and lousy jokes. "Guess what?" "What?" "Chicken Butt!" being the one that kept going for a while. I think I was asking various Farscape people. And Drea. And Timey. *ponders* It also had the capper, "Guess why?" "Why?" "Chicken thigh!" and on other that I can't recall.

Sigh.

So, my mother has this thing about sending me forwards, spam. Pictures. Stupid fucking poems. And I've told her, I've said, "Look, I hate spam. Please don't send it."

But she still occasionally does.

Today, she sent me 70k of images and text. I deleted it, and finally fought back.

She got 18k of fic out of me, which is damned small, in comparison... So. We'll see. And my sister and sister-in-law got them, too.
