That's my story....
Sep. 13th, 2002 03:15 pmOk. So, I'm all for free speech and stuff. However.
Er. I'm probably not making sense. But. Fanfiction.net has just taken some big steps in deciding what content to allow on their site. For instance, there will be no more Real People fic. This includes Boybands, TV shows (Survivor, Whose Line {And thank GOD for that. There was some SCARY shit in the Whose Line section}). Chat-style ramblings aren't allowed, since most are pointless dialogue pieces.
Amusing, really. They must not have read Ali's. ;)
And, the one that's causing the largest upsetedness... NC-17 fiction shall no longer be allowed.
*snicker*
There is a petition about it.
http://www.petitiononline.com/ffnet/petition.html
Now, I'm all for petitions and such... But when you're crossing metaphors and basically sounding like an idiot...
Really, it's the final line on the message....
"It is a sin and a shame that FanFiction.Net chose to commemorate the anniversary of 9/11 – and the spirit of democracy – with communism. "
....riiiight. Because free BADLY WRITTEN smut is such a democratic thing... Remind me again, Communism is bad, Fascism is good? ;)
Idiots.
*snicker* Anyway. I feel amused.
