I have never owned a new washing machine.

Technically, my family has never... You get the point.

It's shiny. And white.

And veryvery fast. It's like watching a new toy, really. Except it stops spinning with the top open. sigh.

I am going to Drea's this weekend. Yippee!

Yippy skippy!

My finals are over. All hail the end of the semester. NTC is done with. Whoo. And my computer crashes when I try to play cds. Not so whoo.

I cleaned my car out today. Very yippy.

And I'm going to indoctrinate Drea into the Red Dwarf cult this weekend. Even more yay.

I shall now go away.

Dreams....

Wierd Al started the sex part of the Rock 'n' Roll movement. Am I the only one who figured this out?

David Bowie said so, in the documentary during my dream. He also, for some reason, found the Police Academy movies hilarious. And he and Boy George aren't on speaking terms.

See, when Wierd Al parodied the Knack's "My Sharona" (as if that song weren't enough), it was all about sex. And so it started there. With him.

There was more, stuff about Arrowsmith, and bands driving around in flatbeds, performing in suburban streets.

Of course, in the 30s and 40s, the record industry was ruled by the companies. You couldn't do anything without their say-so, so music was kind of stale and lifeless. Definitely sexless.

Apparently, the retrospective completely ignored the 60s, and Disco. Oh well. I'm not all perfect.
