Non Sequitor Lass strikes!
Apr. 10th, 2002 10:19 pmSo. I tried to do this twice earlier, and my computer crashed both times.
I shall endeavour it again.
Since I've been working nights, I've been watching late night TV. Some good, some bad... So I shall comment on it, ramble, and make sense. I think.
Michelle Branch's new video has some cute gimmicky things in it. It's not bad though. Y'know, the, "If you want to/I can save you/I can take you/Away from here" song.
Nice effort, except her hair. Poor Michelle must have been too busy to wash it, and it progressively looks worse and worse, until finally, she looks like Lenny Kravitz.
Michelle, honey, fire your hairdresser, and wash your hair real well. Because that dreddlocked thing is NOT good on you.
I sometimes wonder for my sanity. There was the night I had a double dose of dumb... Mutant X followed by VIP.
About the only thing VIP ever has going for it is explosions, and guns. The fight scenes are almost as cheesy as first-season Buffy. But, hey, this one had Booger in it. Er, the guy who played Booger in the Revenge of the Nerds movies.... And there's something highly amusing about him trying to date Tasha.
Mutant X had Mia as a guest star. Er. The actress who played Mia, anyway. From Psi Factor. Hrm. Y'know, Tasha and Lindsay would get along well... Bad plot bunny. Go back to Alan.
Masterpiece Theatre also comes on at 2am. On Tuesday nights. Really decent show is on now. 'The Way We Live Now'. Kind of nicely non-black and white. And they really did a superb job shooting people eating, and making it look disgusting. Ugh.
However, it took me until seeing the credits tonight to realise Melmotte is David Suchet! Who is also Poirot! Which makes sense, since I'd been wracking my brain about him.
Oddly, I think Star Wars would have been much more fun if David Suchet had been Darth Vader... He could've played a sort of farcical mockery of Melmotte, as Luke's father. Would have been highly amusing.
Ack. Have things to do befre work tonight. Must dash.
