I've been making some yummy things over the last couple days. Mainly cheesy garlic bread. So, I thought I'd share my recipe, as some of you are in the same kind of poor situation I am.

Cheesy Garlic Bread

Now, first of all, to prepare this, you need both a toaster oven AND a microwave. You can make do without the microwave, but it makes it more difficult.

Ingredients:
2 slices of bread (Roma bread, or Italian, or French, or Sourdough work well)
2-3 Tablespoons of butter (y'know, chop, chop, chop)
some diced garlic (a jar of the stuff is great for this)
Grated cheese--cheddar, or colbyjack are good.

Toast the bread on whatever the medium setting is--basically, until it's slightly toasted, but not fully done.
Meanwhile, melt the butter in the microwave (20 seconds on hig) in some sort of small container.
Place the bread on a plate. Pour butter over it, using a knife to spread it out over the slices. Spread some of the garlic on top.
Put the bread back in the toaster oven on the same setting. It should cause the garlic smell to float out into the room as it cooks.
Put the bread back on the plate (don't burn your fingers--the knife comes in handy, here) and cover in grated cheese. Place in microwave, and nuke for a minute on high.
Remove and enjoy the bubbly yummy taste.

This is a good time to add a slice or two of tomato on top of each piece of bread.

Don't cook tomatoes in the microwave. They smell terrible afterwards.

Don't forget to brush your teeth afterwards. Not all of us like smelling garlic.
