Did you know....
Dec. 18th, 2001 12:53 amYou can silence Bevy by talking about masturbation?
Yes. A proven technique. Andrew goes silent, too. *smirk*
So. Am home. While at Bev's, I did many things.
I saw "Not Another Teen Movie" Howlingly funny, especially the end scenes (Gotta love Molly). Not, however, for anyone under 13, or anyone over 34. Or parents. Parents are gonna just look at it and call it filth.
Showed Bevs Monty Python's "Meaning of Life" not sure what she thought of it.
Plotted more Marya/Dakota crossover. Got stuff moving again, I think. Except I left that stuff at Bev's. Well, I didn't have anywhere to put it.
Also came up with some ideas while falling asleep last night, and while driving home.
1. In the Angel goes human episode, why didn't the Oracles tell him to suck it up? Hello, Angel. Xander's alive. Willow's alive. Giles' alive.... Sensing a pattern here, Mr. Mopey?
I thought so. The pattern is: train. Learn how to be superman again.
Don't just go around whining, 'cause you tried to climb Everest before you could even crawl.
2. The Kitty/Pete dynamic is rather similar to the Buffy/Spike dynamic.
Pete: Older, wiser, was evil, smokes, drinks, swears.
Spike: Older, wiser, was evil (has a chip, but it seems to have suddenly worn off), smokes, drinks, swears.
Sensing a pattern?
Kitty: Teenager thrust into being an Adult before she was 15. Still mildly naive. First love ended badly. Parents divorced.
Buffy: Adult, who was a teenager thrust into being an Adult before she was 15. Still mildly naive (why hasn't she killed Spike?). First love ended badly. Parents divorced.
Differences: Kitty and Pete weren't desperately grabbing onto something that felt real. Buffy is. Spike might actually be in love.
3. Songs that fit people....
Information Society
A. Cry, Baby, Cry - Rogue to Gambit (Bevs, Dakota should like this one. It's basically her taunting him, 'cause she's out the door)
B. When The I Divides - Giles. Leaving, I think.
C. If It's Real (I think that's what it's called) - Buffy and Angel, circa Earshot. "I don't know what you're thinking, and I don't know how you feel. But I only want to be with you if it's real.... The two of us have seen it all. The good times and the bad..."
Frente
A. What's Come Over Me? - Buffy/Faith screwy Shadowlands slash.
B. Here You Come To Calmly Kill Me - Shadowlands. Must do something with this. Must.
Duran Duran (Wedding Album)
A. Er. Side 2, track 1 - Spike re: Buffy "You've got me on my knees/I love the way you tease..."
B. Er... "I am I myself alone, and realise I never need to use no one/money, power, holy robes--freedom puts my faith in none of the above..." - Buffy, or Angel
C. Reaching Out (incorrect title, most likely) - Faith, but from many other povs. Maybe guys on the dance floor, Angel, Buffy, Wesley. Hrm.
Belly
Seal My Fate - Buffy/Angel, circa I Will Remember You
-------
Anyway. On another note, my car is needing an oil change. Must do so, soon.
Oh, and anyone I'm sending cards too, they may be late, since money's tight again. *grimace* If they just paid dad what he was worth....
