You know, I was thinking to myself as I walked through the backyard gate tonight, that people might read my latest Closet RR post and think it was ridiculous that someone actually talked to herself out loud.
And then it hit me. I was muttering the commentary out loud to myself.
Sigh.
There's something about watching the Pretender that gets kinda boring after a while. Maybe it's that the plot is sometimes predictable...
But, how many times can Jarod make Miss Parker feel sympathy and help him? Answer: As many as the episode requires. *snort*
Watched Mystery tonight. The rather brilliantly filmed Second Sight was on. Lovely shots, smart characters, people... Must remember to set the VCR to pick up the rerun tomorrow night.
Scary thought for the day: Creegan and Tanner working a case together. Can we see Taylor and Tulley cordially hating each other? Actually...
The similarities are certainly there.
Established officer gets new deputy/equal who has a shady past. Taylor gets Creegan. Tanner gets Tulley.
One is male, the other female.
Great screen chemistry (how many times have I watched the second episode of the first season just to see the 4am double-take in red pjs?) between the male and female lead.
And the men are tortured emotionally. Creegan with his near-death experience. Tanner because he's slowly going blind.
In fact, both men are divorced, with kids. Well, Tanner only has a son. And Creegan has two daughters.
Of course, I think the mother killed the son and there was this whole Oedipal thing going on. But then, I've always had a sick mind. Could've been a three-some with the babysitter...
I'm rambling.
Sigh. I see Bev has closed her 80s quiz. *shrug* Oh, well, guess I'll toss the ones I'd had.
One minor note: Bev keeps taunting me with having Iowa PBS, and a station that plays 80s music some nights (or is it all the time now?)...
Well, we in St. Louis, have The Mall. It plays the 80s songs of yesteryear... Rather fun, really.
As for not having PBS that plays SF? *shrug* I have most of what I'd watch taped. And what I haven't got, I can live without.
Hrm. Note to self: Don't forget to get Second Sight tomorrow night.
Maybe if I remind myself enough, I'll remember to do it. :P
