Well, as you've all read me bitching about my car... An update.

The slave clutch, which went out about three months ago and was replaced is going again. This means it's incredibly difficult to get the car into any gear, and when you do, it's just as hard to get it out.

It's a matter of strength, now. You pull hard, push hard, and hope it goes in.

However, if the car is rolling, it goes in slightly easier.

Take yesterday, for instance. I'm leaving school. Got the car in reverse and backed out of the space. Tried to put it in first, couldn't. Only gear I could get was fifth (highway gear, basically). So, I drift out of the lot, down a short road, and... hit the stop sign.

Now, I'm turning right onto a downhill stretch. This is good, 'cause I can use it to build up momentum. It's not good, because I tried to get into first or second, and couldn't get the car in ANY gear.

Had to actually get out of the car, turn the wheel, and push. Here's hoping I can get it around the corner. (on the theory that if on a downhill stretch, I'd be able to pop it into a gear).

It worked. My car is nice and light. Except that, once around the corner, there was this momentum thing. So, I had to drag and hold on, and basically run it over the curb before it stopped moving. My arms are sore now.

I drove home with only second, fourth and fifth working. It was just enough, even if I did stall out a few times (hills are a bitch to get up when starting in second).

The reason I was going home was to pick my sister up so I could take her to work. I parked in the alley, facing downhill, knowing it might be hard to get it in gear again.

...

Complained to Jenna about it.

Got in the car, started it.

And the car, the little bastard, slid sweetly into first, second, third, fourth, fifth. Any gear I wanted.

So, the car likes my sister more than it likes me. I get it.

*sniffle*

At least it isn't in the 90s out anymore. One worry off my mind.

I have chocolate cream pie. Mmmm. Unfortunately, not enough chocolate.

In other news, I can't find my copy of Depeche Mode's Ultra. It was right on my desk not three days ago. Now? Disappeared.

Chess is found, though.

Happyhappy.

Must admit I'm adjusting to this seven-day work week. Even if I'm always tired.

And now, I have a confession to make. It may shock a lot of people.

I like Andromeda.

Sorbo sucks. The plots are dumb. But I like the show. Maybe it's the shiny space ship, and Beka and Tyr. I dunno. Something about a guy who likes fighting for his life to Wagner... sigh.

Of course, I often wonder if Roddenberry is rolling over in his grave...
