He doesn't plan them, these little stalking trips that take him by her house.

If he had a paper route, he could use it as an excuse for biking slowly down her street. He got lost, or, y'know, forgot where he was really headed.

Not, of course, that she's ever noticed. After all, he's not his normal (ruggedly handsome) self. He's just a teenager on his bike, cruising slowly down a suburban block. Eyeing the gorgeous woman who is (now) old enough to be his mother.

He wonders if he's merely a sentimental fool. Decides high school rots your brain.
