More tv catch-up: Nikita, Eureka 3.5, Covert Affairs

Covert Affairs. I don't have much to say about it. I enjoy it while it's on, but it's not a very deep show. I'm still a huge Annie and Joan fan, though. And Auggie and Arthur are growing on me. And Jai is hot. So is Liza. Big Reveal was not so big. I do sort of think it's hilarious that Annie's Love changed Ben's life 4ever.

Nikita. Also not one I have much to say about, aside from the whole "Alex isn't subtle, how haven't they caught her yet?" aspect. I can handle all the rest, but that keeps straining my credulity. Also, Percy and Jai's daddy from CA are like the same person and need to diaf. ugh. I have thoughts on Alex's family/Nikita's reason for stalking her--but also, Michael is vaguely growing on me. I still find him sort of uninteresting, but he's not blah as much? (also, Andre McBride from Painkiller Jane as an enforcer. What a come-down, Andre. Being Percy's top killer)

Eureka. I would appreciate it if Jo got a storyline that wasn't about her love-life. :/

Going in, I wasn't really happy about Carter (3.0 made me dislike him intensely?), but I don't know if it was distance or what, but I liked him ok. Fargo, otoh, seriously. HOW IS SOMEONE THAT FUCKING INCOMPETENT STILL IN EUREKA? I don't find it cute that he causes all sorts of trouble, or funny, or interesting. I just find it Yet Another Thing To Be Annoyed By.

The bowling team episode was extra O.o as Riley from Painkiller Jane shaved his head and moved to Aera 51 to lead their bowling team. AHAHAHAH. So hilarious. (somewhere, Andre is all *facepalm*)

I wasn't sure what I'd think of Tess. I mean, yes, JRN. But... Ok, no, unsurprisingly, I think she's awesome. I find her hilarious and self-assured and a friend of Allison's (yay), and sometimes she's out of her depth, but she tries to roll with the punches. So to speak. Also, I bet they use lots of strategic boxes for her to stand on.

Zoe and Jo and Al remain awesome. Zoe's boyfriend is uninteresting. And Allison's kid has apparently disappeared off the face of the planet.

And then there's Henry. Mr. Break My Heart Into Tiny Pieces. *shakes fist at Joe Morton and Tamlyn Tomita* (I ship it, yo, and OH THE PAIN). Oh, Henry, you keep getting the short end of that stick. I'm so sorry.

Boo, so that's been going on for a *while*? I've only seen season four and it really does not get any better.

Catch up with Warehouse 13 please.

Yeah. It's ridiculous and annoying as all hell. :/

It is not on streaming, that makes it harder. But season one is now at the top of my queue?

(Yaaaaaay.)

Edit: Some of season two is on Hulu but I understand not wanting to see it out of order.

YES TO ALL OF THIS.

I just really want Eureka fic about the women. Only the women. All of them. Beverly and Jo and Zoe and Allison and Tess and Kim (OH KIM) and Grace can get together and have THE FATE OF THE ENTIRE WORLD depend on just them. Which is problematic when Beverly is involved, but that's what makes it fun.

If only I had time to write that like it deserved.

(I don't mind Jo's love life, but I want Jo's love life to be SECONDARY.)

But Beverly is a wonderful foil for Allison, so that works out beautifully.

AND OMG YES to your parenthetical statement. Because, exactly. If she was more than a background character (main cast or not, she's pretty much ignored except for when they want Fargo to perve on someone or her lovelife to be under the spotlight).

*sigh* I don't understand the Fargo love. Is he fandom's misunderstood woobie character? Because, seriously, there is no other good reason. They've done better with him this season, sort of, but he's That Guy most of the time, and I really hate That Guy types.

I think that I do like Fargo? I just find it frustrating that he never learns. Like, he does something dumb, and then repeats it two episodes later!

But mostly, I'm bitter about Jo.

I used to be amused by Fargo, but then the never learning thing irritated me too much.

YES to Jo needing a storyline that doesn't involve her love life and Fargo's antics being anything but endearing.

Tess was all kinds of adorkable and though I've shipped Carter/Allison from the beginning, I didn't mind Carter/Tess. In fact, I thought they were kinda sweet.

Henry + Kim = *sobs*
Why must they break my heart over and over again?! But I adore Grace.

And what's sad is that Fargo sort of grows on me? I still miss Nathan, though

Carter/Tess is cute, but I highly doubted it would go anywhere given the fanbase. And I'm really glad that it wasn't just "Tess is now here as Carter's new love interest" and she sort of had her own purpose and storyline.

Why must they break my heart over and over again?!

Because Joe Morton is an evil man, or something. Siiigh.

Michael has the benefit of, well, being the best option of the males. Percy and Birkoff can only make him look better, and Tom is...blah. Am I WRONG for wanting him to get fridged for Alex's angst?

Editted for potentially Freudian typo. and to say that Eureka was way more fun when Jack didn't understand the town.

Oh, that's true. Tom needs to be gotten rid of as well. Yes.

Heh.

Tom is a Nice Guy waiting to happen. I'm sorry, but there you go.
