Tricia on Supernatural
First of all, before I talk about it. Let me apologize to Tricia for the very stupid men who interviewed her this morning in Milwaukee. Cramp? Adler? Totally not one of your better interviews.
That said, wow. This episode? Only worth it for Tricia.
Well. That wasn't predictable at all.
Really. (that was sarcasm) In fact,
nique and I totally called it, and we missed the first ten minutes.
Though, I'm kind of sad that my idea wasn't true. Sigh. It would have been far more awesome if she'd been Greeley's wife and David was her lover.
Dean? Is he the asshole? Anyway. Really boring. And not the fun kind of asshole, either. Sam is... well, he's like the poor woman's Jerry O'Connell. Without the abs-rippling action. Sigh.
But Tricia as Molly was utterly fantastic. I occasionally saw bits of Six-on-Caprica (not to be confused with Caprica Six), and some of Gina, but mostly, it was all Molly. Awesome, man. Just frakkin' awesome. I really hope this helps her get more roles.
Except for the end, of course, when I yelled "Go into the light, Caprica!"
So. Doooon't think I'll be watching Supernatural again. 'Cause. No women. Besides, if I want Monster of the Week with Action and Demon Hunters? I'll go watch old Buffy. Or maybe X-Files...
Mmm. Scully with a big gun.

Supernatural with Kara Thrace and Buffy Summers? That'd be all sorts of awesome.

And it's not just 'cause they're guys. I love and adore Harry Dresden and Bob. I could watch them painting a wall and be entertained.
But then, Dresden Files does have Murphy, so I suppose there's a woman to get me interested. (although the werewolf chick from a few episodes back is more my type.)
It would be awesome. And have bar brawls, with Buffy half the time facepalming and going, "Why do I put up with you?"

Poor Buffy.

SCULLY? Where???

Though I don't remember how they wrote him off the show... I think he just went West. The way that so many do.

How did I not remember that? Oh, wait, it was Days and I blocked most of that from my mind.

Sadly, nowhere. I was trying to picture her with Kara's gun from the comic and being amused.

But Trish was gooorgeous. I totally saw the bits of Six on Caprica. She made that sad crying face that that Six makes. And Gina. She had the pretty Gina hair. I love her way too much. She made that show extra gorgeous. Poor little ghosty Molly. :)

It's all right! Molly has now downloaded, and is all, "WTF." and telling Billy (who is the nice Cylon, obviously) about her crappy life on Earth and how it isn't FAIR that she's not really dead.

LMAO! Seriously, though. Seriously. ;)

Tricia Helfer was extremely good, though. Way better than the material given to her deserved.

SPN was gonna have Jo, but apparently a large portion of the fandom didn't like her. Sight unseen. Because she was a potential love interest for Dean. (The asshole, yeah.)

I got echoes of the usual fannish debates when I heard about the Jo thing. Generally, I watch the show, and tend to stay out of the fandom. The heavy volume of incest is a turnoff for me.

If you don't care for either of the only two series regulars, even the good episodes won't be worth watching.

Anyway, I have a thinky post for tomorrow on the structural experiment in this episode, but I won't bore you with it now.
And yes, Tricia brought the awesome. It's always interesting to see her with her real hair (or closer to her real hair anyway), because she looks more ordinary, and yet still amazing.

I think I saw all of one episode and I was rolling my eyes so hard with "OMG I don't care" that I couldn't be bothered again. I get why it appeals to people -- it just doesn't appeal to me.
. . . er, okay, and I saw like five minutes of another episode recently, but that was only because Emma Lahana from Power Rangers Dino Thunder was in five minutes of it and . . . yes.

That's ok. I watched it for Tricia. ;)
