er, fanfic ones are, er, not lucrative unless my novel submission was accepted, but I don't think it was, sadly.

I may have to write a trashy pirate romance novel.

*snuggles* Can the pirate be a duke in disguise? You have to have a duke in every romance novel ever written, it's official (or possibly an earl if he's a duke's younger brother and has inherited his title from a different branch of the family).

I guess the question is, will the heroine have ass-length silver hair and violet eyes?

Actually, she has dark brown hair (almost blue-black) and violet eyes. And her hair is not down to her waist, because being a pirate queen, you can't have hair down to your ass.

And the pirate is a duchess in disguise, a Lady whose estate has been confiscated.

True. But, then, she's kind of taken him as her cabin boy/prisoner anyway, and the rest of the crew are loyal to a fault since she has saved them all in some way from fates worse than death. plus, she gropes him right back

Actually, given the nature of things, I'm planning to write two. One for the piratey romance bit (and because Timey says she'll help, and we're stealing the plot anyway). And one regency, because I think I've read enough of the damned things...

Just remember to spread the porn evenly throughout - I always find it unnerving when the first three quarters are porn and then the last chunk turns into detailed plot. It's like the author took two books but didn't mix them up properly.

This is true. And I plan on not making it, like, an Anita Blake book, where you can open it up to bad porn on any page and there is NO plot.

Actually, there's a lot of stuff that may end up getting woven in and around the porn just to establish all of the back story and everything. Mmm. Pacing.

*giggles* No worries. Between this and Kitty and Piotr on Sages, I'm being very distracted. And I finished my own edits and have taken Ryuu up on her beta offer (you've already suffered once). I now await to hear screams of disturbance from Atlanta. Since I actually kept most of what you'd seen and added on and have an ending and everything.

Anita Blake? Actually, I guess I don't really need to ask. *staggers away in shock at the idea of pacing in a romance novel* That's kinda unheard of.

I'm glad that your ficathon piece is on the verge of being done, even if you're going to melt everyone's brains with it. Mmm, brain soup! *yawns very loudly* I've been editing too, but it's going very slowly. Everything I touch at the moment is utter pants.
