that day... in my life...

So, I have pinpointed part of why I keep blocking on the SJ ficathon entry. Because I've been ranting about badfic, and I know I'm just as guilty of some of the crappy cliches as the people I rant about. And unconsciously, it means my brain doesn't want to write Sam/Jack, because then I'm writing my own self-absorbed, cliche-ridden fantasy romance.

Also, it might be because my underwire is broken and poking me. Ow.

Applied for jobs. Saw a job I'd previously interviewed for listed again. Nice of the guy to send me a letter/telephone call of rejection.

Have called the number Kris gave me and left messages. Never had a call back.

It's great for my ego, this whole lack of interest in hiring me. It can be over now, thanks.

Was organizing my comics into a list. I'm beginning to wonder if I should just sell my whole run of Excalibur. Gordon sent me scans, so it's not like I won't have them. Hrm.

But, but, AoA is frakking beautiful! It's, like, Angst on Crack with weird-ass plot! And has FFKOAH, now that I think about it, given Magsy and Rogue (who were strangely uber-cute).

Damn you. I just put them on my list and so they are OUT and I want to reread them.

Although it did spawn Nate Grey, so I suppose that's one strike against it.

Kitty! Yes. I love her madly (even in AoA, where she was the bitch-queen on ACID and kicked so much ass--augh! Paige and GenNext are deaaaaaaaaaaaaad). Er, if that wasn't already apparent.

I do prefer her a little less, ah, naive. And not in X-Men.

You left because of AoA? I left because of Operation: Zero IntelligenceTolerance, and the crappy nature of the books after Onslut. Sigh. (and I'm also scared that it's been TEN YEARS since AoA)
