I think the trick to getting lots of reviews on ff.net is to post a pretty average length fic (something around 2000+ words) in about three or four parts, more if you get the fic over 4000 words. Apparently that's the key to *ahem* success *ahem*. That and ending a part in the middle of the actual part, in the middle of a sentence/paragraph if possible, so reviews are compelled to tell you to write more.
I have a feeling that's why I've never managed to succeed on ff.net.
Thats what I've noticed. If someone posts a long fic it's only at the top of the page for a day or so. If you split the fic up into lots of parts and post one part every day it picks up more reviews. I hate it when writers say 'Review or I wont post any more' I don't review for them at all.
