My pairing is pasted on yay!

Some idiot has been taking NCIS fic and copy/replacing it with Sam/Jack (I knew there was a reason the "does this look like a romance?" line sounded like Gibbs and not Jack. Damn). It's kind of amusing, really...

Of course, now I want to do the same thing and see if I can write, oh, Scott/Jean from the Sam/Jack I've got... Hrm. Could work.

Actually, this may have been dealt with, so far. But...

Anyone who might have a crossover interest in NCIS (especially Kate/Gibbs), please feel free to troll through this authors' work and let ff'net know which ones are plagiarism.

So far, we've got two down.

Looks like some of those have been taken down.

Carter Your So Damned Annoying

If you can't write, steal. But retitling it will give you away. ^^;

I remember this happening in alt.startrek.creative a few years back. Someone's Beverly/Jean-Luc smut was being ripped off and rewritten as Fran/Maxwell from The Nanny. o_O

*blink*

I would say there couldn't possibly be anything weirder than that, except for the part where someone will prove me wrong and the thought terrifies me...

[identity profile] rosewildeirish.livejournal.com 2005-02-18 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
How 'bout the person who claimed their fics were being plagerized, and it turned out she was the one doing it? They tracked her ISP on both accounts/fics.

[identity profile] wiliqueen.livejournal.com 2005-02-18 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmmm. I think the NextGen/Nanny thing is still weirder, but only marginally.

That person just needs HELP. Then again, better they do that than get a nursing degree and inflict full-blown Munchausen Syndrome on vulnerable patients. :-P

*giggle* Three out of five are now down.

A person would really have to be a special kind of stupid for that, y'know?

*g* The power of fandom is staggering.Do not piss us off, for there are lots of us, and we know the internet... Or something like that.

I WILL EVENTUALLY give you the right comment, damnit....

None of my fics mix and match pairings well, but the start of Beauty in the Breakdown makes me GIGGLE when stargate-ified...

Crimson and gold, laughter suddenly silenced. This wasn't happening. This couldn't possibly happen.
He didn't make it in time.
Her eyes widened, her heart almost stopped. He didn't save her in time. The searing pain filling every inch of her body couldn't compare to the shock, horror, disgust. Fire was consuming her veins, a coldness began to zigzag up her legs. "Jack," was all she could say or think, her mouth open and her lifeblood pooling out. Don’t give in to it, don't give up. I will not die.
The inhuman cry was unmistakable. She saw the blur of crimson and heard the continuing shrieks. He was holding her now, she sensed, barely. It was hard to register anything. Jack had failed her. Failed. The greatest achievement of the USAF. "How could you fail me?" It hurt to talk, hurt to breathe, hurt to see him panic.
"No, Carter, I have NOT failed you." With a roar, he sank his teeth into her neck pulling what was left into his mouth, tasting the excruciating pain of dying blood….(the rest of it doesn’t work….)

What used to be in where 'USAF' is now? ^__^

Meeef. That's one I haven't seen or read yet but have been told I should check out. I'm not sure why, because I'm not really into anti-heroes, and my vampire quota is full because I'm currently mini-obsessing with Vampire Hunter D (and D is only a half a vampire).

But I do like dark gothy eye-candy anime. I'll have to check it out just for that.

*eyes bleed at "Carter, Your So Damned Annoying"*

Every time someone abuses a contraction/possessive like that, a little piece of me dies inside.

Especially when it's a teacher. *hates on h.s. social studies teacher*

Actually, as noted further up, *smallvoice* it was my own typo... (and probably subconscious mocking)

[identity profile] rosewildeirish.livejournal.com 2005-02-18 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
*falls down laughing at self and the mistake* That? Just makes it funnier, because, omg, sonotlikeyou. Hee!

And I'm betting it was your subconscious giving that person the intelligence level they deserve.

The sad thing is that I'm not... rioting, that is. I'm mostly amused as hell...

*is a bad bad person*

[identity profile] livilla.livejournal.com 2005-02-19 09:06 am (UTC)(link)
That is really beyond sad. Seriously.

[identity profile] fallenbelle.livejournal.com 2005-02-19 12:32 pm (UTC)(link)
In a twisted way, it could be also construed as a compliment. Sad and pathetic, yes, but at least the person enjoyed the piece so much that they wished they had written it. So, they lied to themselves and told themselves that they had.

Sigh. Whatever these people are on, I want to try.
