ficlet. For Liz.
premise: Sam's phone rings off world. It's Simon, trying to reach Lizzie...
Her phone had been vibrating on and off for the last hour. Sam Carter had been assuming it was a fluke. After all, she was off world (she hadn't meant to bring the phone, but it had been in her pocket, and she'd been absent-minded). Finally, irritated, she flipped it open. "Carter."
"Yes, hi. I was wondering if I could speak with Elizabeth Weir?"
Sam opened her mouth to tell the man he had the wrong number when two things registered. The first was that he was asking for the current leader of the Atlantis Expedition, who was currently in the Pegasus Galaxy, and thus entirely unreachable. And the second was that he sounded very familiar. "Narim?"
There was silence for a moment, then the man said, hesitantly, "Samantha?"
"Where the hell is my cat?"
More silence, then, "I'm afraid, Samantha, that Schroedinger perished along with the rest of my people."
"Great. Nice. So, tell me, Narim, why the hell are you calling Lizzie Weir?" Ok. Maybe she was being over the top. Maybe she was a little pissed. Either way, this man was trying to call a woman a galaxy or two away. And he should have been dead.
"My name is Simon now. And Elizabeth and I are, or were, betrothed." He sounded pained.
"Betrothed. Nice." Sam snorted, "So, tell me Narim, honey, do all Earth girls leave you, or is it just us smart ones?"
The conversation ended without a click. Sam stared at the now turned-off cell for a moment, then shrugged. "Guess he got a wrong number."
Her radio clicked, "Hey, Sam?"
"What's up, Daniel?"
"Dinner's ready."
"I'll be back at camp within the hour."
"Ok."

Now I have to go convince Daniel that Sam won't kill him if he locks her in a closet with Jack...

She needs to tell him to do something that is likely anatomically impossible and hopefully painful. And then she needs to go have lots of exciting sex with Jack.(nods wisely)

Cute.
Now, how goes it convincing Daniel to lock the closet door?

Loved it, lots. And they should so hunt him down and hurt him for leaving Schrodinger behind. *can't quite forgive Narim/Simon for that!*
