Oh, GOD, this is painful.
Attention: Do NOT WATCH the American Touching Evil. It will steal your soul.
There is not a single, recognisable character in it. Nor is there anything resembling good detective work. *shudders*
It makes me want to scream.
David Creegan: Completely insane, yet he's asked back. Claims to have been 'sent back' to stop the bad guys. Baby Jesus is crying. The real Creegan was very good at covering up how fractured he was, and he was only dead for about a minute, total. On the operating table.
Susan Branca: By the book hardass bitch. The real Susan Taylor could walk all over her faster than she can blink.
Faux!Kreitman: Barely noticeable.
Peter Wingfield: Obviously Rivers, but I have no fucking clue what his name on the show is. Rarely speaks.
Ronald Hinks: Not really scary. In fact, so un-scary as to make me mock him. And the real Hinks was creepy with just a look. This one is... boring.
There's a lot of good dialogue completely cut from this. We don't get the beautiful Rivers-tackles-Creegan-into-a-pile of leaves scene. It's so sad. We get a grabs the shoulders of scene. It's pathetic.
And there is no Barry. Dude, I HEART Barry. He's, like, my second-favourite-tv boyfriend.
There is an ex-Mrs. Creegan. No clue what her first name is.
The music isn't too bad, but it's not the haunting themes of the original.
However, the DOG is the best actor in the entire show.
