Late nights, early mornings, stupid profs...

Y'know, up until this class, I think I lucked out with professor's. They've all been mildly nifty and KNEW I was intelligent. Hell, they expected me to be incredibly smart.

Not my computer class prof. He seems to think everyone in class is dumb. If I hear him tell me to back stuff up ONE MORE TIME...

Of course, at least we're past 'what the mouse does' and are actually dealing with 'what hardware is'... Sort of.

ARG.

Note to self: Laughing in class is a bad idea. He might get the idea I'm not actually paying attention to him.

Further note: Buy the goddamned book soon. It would be a smart idea to have something to turn it at the end of the semester.

"cache anticipates what programs..." uh. right.

toodles.

Cache, what it does, and how it works is something of a Black Art.

Conceptually it's fairly simple, but when you get down to the silicon level, it gets Really Ugly, Really Fast.

I can point you to some great tech-articles on caching and how it works if you'd like.

oooh. Yes. Please. *g*

It's not that he's precisely stupid. It's that he's assuming I am (and, in some ways, I definitely am...)...

Ah, well.

Lyssie:

It's not quite about caching, but it's close enough.

Whole bunch of well-written articles.
