sff: and there's one season done (damn you,Rogers)
which is to say: season one of the Librarians goes down easy whilst one is rejecting invalid invoices.
So, I have to admit that even though I enjoyed some aspects of the show, I didn't love it. But I knew that this was a John Rogers production and I would probably love it shortly.
And I do.
Episodes 1-3 are a bit rough and have hot kissing and Tricia Helfer. But they aren't the best.
I'm not actually sure where I fell in love? I just know that I was suddenly loving it.
That said, I love it more after having read JR's blog posts where he answers questions.
(and can I say that all of the people who missed that Lancelot/Galahad was a thing are sort of hilarious, especially when JR is like "...uh, not father/son, no.")
Baby!Lancelot was Jerry O'Connell - nice nod to the fact that this episode was all Sliders.
Eve/Flynn (Connor? idek his name, he's just Noah Wyle) pushes way too many of my buttons, it's terribly embarrassing. Like him nudging her like he's fifteen and she has pigtails (idek with my id sometimes, guys). Also, that kiss from the fifth episode. I actually wound it back to watch.
I don't have more thoughts right now. Mostly, I'm cursing John Rogers for being so amazing at managing to pull together excellent casts and crews to turn out massively entertaining tv.
In a nice way.
No, wait, ok, also - Rogers has stated that Librarians is in the Middleman-verse and I CANNOT BELIEVE I WAS RIGHT. Because it matches that show for tone and style. It is not, however, in the Leverage-verse.
(that works ok because, this one time, John Crichton broke the universe. So anyone can be anywhere. And Einstein-Rosen bridges don't just go to Asgard, y'know)
And being glad season two is already happening.

I never got around to looking for fic but I imagine there's quite a bit of Eve/Flynn out there.

I do really like Cassandra, though, even when she was all disturbingly squealy during the science fair one.
eta: and while there is some Eve/Flynn, it looks like the fandom juggernaut is going to be Cassandra/Jake.

I loved both ladies but there's something about the actress who plays Cassandra that just really pulls me in. I find her so compelling, I end up focusing on her whenever she's on screen, even if she's just standing around in the background :)
I am not surprised, actually. I find Cassandra very shippable and Christian Kane tends to have chemistry with everyone he works with so I would've guessed Cassandra/Jake would be a popular ship.

ahem.
Anywahy.
I should probably note my thing for blondes which sort of maybe started with Jo McDonagh and then Sam Carter and Kara Thrace. So, I am not entirely surprised at Even being my favorite? But Cassandra is very much my next favorite, and there's not much between the two (and maybe it helps that I know Cassandra's actress isn't, like, 16? Because one thing I'm digging about Eve -and that I dug about Sophie in Leverage - is that she's not a twenty-something or a teen)
Which is possibly ageist, but dammit, I'm old enough to be most college kids' mother these days, so.
Aaaaaaaand, that was more rambling than you probably wanted.
(makes with the squealy noises over your icon, though, because CLARA AND HUGGING)

I don't really pay attention to height, tbh. I'm 5'5 and I never wear heels so most men and quite a few women are taller than me/seem taller than me because heels :)
I like some blondes (Kara, obviously and Juliet Burke among others) but I'm more of a brunette/redhead person. Which probably also explains my Cassandra thing :)

THIS SHOW. I love it so much!
I'm OK with it not being in the Leverage-verse canonically, though fanficwise, it'd be hilarious to see Eliot meet up with Stone. Though I'd love best to see Eliot hook up with Cassandra. I don't know, I just feel like she needs a gourmet meal and to be pampered the way Eliot would pamper her. Though I would love to see Eliot and Eve chugging back drinks in a bar and complaining about what a GIANT PAIN IN THE ASS it is to keep their teams safe. There's just so damn much fertile ground there.

The possibilities for Leverage to be a tv show that Jones watches and mocks...
But, yes, Eve and Eliot would need lots of beer. Sometimes, Tara would be a third at their table and down tequila shots.
Or there should be a group meeting of guardian-types who can complain wildly about their charges.
