sff: and there's one season done (damn you,Rogers)

which is to say: season one of the Librarians goes down easy whilst one is rejecting invalid invoices.

So, I have to admit that even though I enjoyed some aspects of the show, I didn't love it. But I knew that this was a John Rogers production and I would probably love it shortly.

And I do.

Episodes 1-3 are a bit rough and have hot kissing and Tricia Helfer. But they aren't the best.

I'm not actually sure where I fell in love? I just know that I was suddenly loving it.

That said, I love it more after having read JR's blog posts where he answers questions.

(and can I say that all of the people who missed that Lancelot/Galahad was a thing are sort of hilarious, especially when JR is like "...uh, not father/son, no.")

Baby!Lancelot was Jerry O'Connell - nice nod to the fact that this episode was all Sliders.

Eve/Flynn (Connor? idek his name, he's just Noah Wyle) pushes way too many of my buttons, it's terribly embarrassing. Like him nudging her like he's fifteen and she has pigtails (idek with my id sometimes, guys). Also, that kiss from the fifth episode. I actually wound it back to watch.

I don't have more thoughts right now. Mostly, I'm cursing John Rogers for being so amazing at managing to pull together excellent casts and crews to turn out massively entertaining tv.

In a nice way.

No, wait, ok, also - Rogers has stated that Librarians is in the Middleman-verse and I CANNOT BELIEVE I WAS RIGHT. Because it matches that show for tone and style. It is not, however, in the Leverage-verse.

(that works ok because, this one time, John Crichton broke the universe. So anyone can be anywhere. And Einstein-Rosen bridges don't just go to Asgard, y'know)

And being glad season two is already happening.
