when the blah blah blah fills the skies

1. I do exist, I do. (I find this hilarious because I was babbling in someone else's comments and now my brain can't think of anything to babble about)

2. [livejournal.com profile] femslash100 drabble-tag is happening! I should, like, write something. so I can request Jo Grant/Clara Oswald fic (Jo/Polly is also my go-to because Jo = Bond and Polly = her Bond girl)

3. I recently re-watched the first two seasons of Lost Girl. It's still such a ridiculous show, but parts of it are highly id-tastic (and Bo is adorable and Lauren is sciencey and Kenzi is silly). I keep putting off seasons 3+. I haven't seen 3-5, but I own 3 & 4. Which is sort of sad and ridiculous.

4. Motive has been renewed for season 4. Score. I have yet to watch the last three episodes (and I know how the season ends and yes a bit disgruntled and Idek why I'm surprised, but still ANGIE FLYNN IS HOT OK). (also, Betty!)

5. One of these days I will actually articulate my thoughts with spoiler-cuts. Today is probably not that day.

6. I miss Doctor Who having new episodes. Sigh.

7. Orphan Black. I,um. I need to watch season 2 still (and some of the things I heard don't really make me eager). If only it were all about Sarah and her conning people, I might manage it more (I can't help it, there is NO NEW LEVERAGE EVER AGAIN, I miss my con artists and thieves and hackers) (ok, also, no new Spooks that I would want to see, although the movie I might have to download or something since there doesn't seem to be an American release and it looks terriblebut it is Spooks which terrible is probably ridicumazing or something

8. For all you Scott & Bailey fans, seasons 1-3 are on region 1 release now (well, 1 and 2've been out for a while, but season 3 just dropped because I was gazing at it after Amazon sent it to me).

9. I still want Mother Love on DVD (and while I'm wishing, A Dark-Adapted Eye and Gallowglass are on that list of Things the BBC Should Put on DVD, DAMMIT). Mostly because it is a thing to watch with my mother and VHS just doesn't cut it anymore. (ok, also, so I can write ridiculous Angela/Danuta femslash. And Harriet fic)

10. I am reminded of the last time I watched The Way We Live Now with my mother and had to restrain myself from explaining my femslashy ideas (because, really, no. My mother might understand writing porn, but she's as conservative as dad is when it comes to homosexuality. Sadly)

11. I have got to stop using parentheses so often.

12. Work has been... work. At least it is halfway done this week (not that I've finished the things due Friday).

13. Whoops.

1. HI!

3. Season 3 of Lost Girl is good. Season 4 is a hot mess and I honestly disliked a good bit of it. Season 5 was better than 4 but still not that great overall. Though they only showed the first half of it (8 eps) so it's possible things could improve in the last half.

7. Orphan Black is...I really don't know how to describe it. Season 3 is almost over yet I feel like we've gotten no real answers about anything despite the show moving at a pretty good pace. Season 1 was easily the best, quality-wise but I do enjoy the way some of the relationships have developed and deepened over the course of the series. And season 3 has Ksenia Solo as a love interest for one of the clones so that's been nice.

SyFy just starting airing Dark Matter, which as you may already know, is a space show (well, maybe. the main characters wake up on a space ship in the pilot) with Zoie Palmer as an android. The pilot was okay so I'm hoping the rest of the season will be decent. And this week they start airing a new show from the original creator of Lost Girl about space bounty hunters or something. I'm hoping at least one of the two will give us a good amount of actual space stuff.

3. I remember wanting to like season 3, but that first episode is just... ugh. I think Im skiipping it, I remember the stuff I care about. Season 4 worries me if that's try.

7. See, and I'm worried Orphan Black will go the way of Revenge with me (and In Plain Sight, too, a bit) in that I'll remember it fondly as that show that only had one season (that said, I already have season two on dvd, so I'm going to watch it).

I'm going to give Dark Matter and Killjoys both a try. Fingers crossed (I need something in-between The Librarians and them, though, because Rogers plays to my id and they may not do so, and that always causes unfair comparisons)

3x01 was awful. I always forget about that episode because I only watched it once, apart from the last Bo/Lauren scene.

To me anyway, Orphan Black hasn't become anywhere near as bad as Revenge did. I barely made it through the first half of Revenge season 2 before calling it quits for good. Orphan Black went down in terms of quality, but it's still watchable, I think. Though it helps if you're more interested in the character dynamics than in the plot. If also helps that we learn more about Siobhan/Mrs. S as the show goes along and she's probably my favorite character next to Sarah.

I was thinking of rewatching Lost Girl this summer after it was finished, but since we have no idea when they will show the second half of Season 5 and I want to do a complete rewatch, not just part of the show, that will be for the mid- to long-term future.

Ugh. I hate that sort of uncertainty. You'd think, especially with Syfylis being all "WE MADE THIS SHOW" (which, no, fu, that is Showcase), that they would air all of it to get it over with.

I miss Doctor Who having new episodes. Sigh.

It'll be back scarily quickly, though. Wasn't it August last time?

I think so. FOR MY BIRTHDAY. iirc. At least. I felt like Moff was giving me an early present.
