SG-1 fandom, you are full of stupid. Sam Carter is not a ruined, useless, character because, one time, she had a thing for a male in her vicinity.

Seriously. If you think she spent x number of seasons pining for Jack, shut the fuck up and think about how stupid you sound. (why can't I punch stupid people through the internets?)

I'm highly amused by just How Many Years the same idiotic conversations can continue. And I want to think it's just because it's all new people just arriving in the fandom, but sadly...it's usually the same people.

As you well know, Sam/Jack is my OTP. (Of course, I've also 'shipped Sam with half the rest of the characters.) But I have never thought that loving someone was a sign of weakness, and it has always confused me that people just Freak Out when a female character actually CARES about a man. Um...excuse me? I think loving someone is a good thing in the universe, actually. I don't think it ruins people.

I'm pretty sure Sam didn't stop being awesome, just becuase she fell in love.
