I.... I.... (because, this must be shared)
But I have to say I liked it until the end. . . . But I do have to say I absolutely hate it when
authors start making up things about characters such as their sexuality when nothing about that topic has been mentioned before. I feel like you are ruining the character. Sorry but that's the way I feel.
I got this from someone on ff'net. Someone who objected to me writing subtexty Racetrack/Seelix on the end of a Kara/Sam fic.
I've seen this objection from people over boyslash, but over femslash??? !!
I am so sorry I've offended them. Really. And now I really need to go and write some more, because I've got nothing better to do. ;]
Also. One wonders how they missed all the other fic on there with speculation about sexual orientation...

Please.
Write more, please!

Which, come to think of it, proves that Seelix has at least shown vague preference for the opposite sex. Though maybe she just likes really tall people and Racetrack had already dibsed Helo (and Three is a Cylon and poor Billy is gone).

For shame. How dare you assume some characters might have other facets to their love lives. :P

Yep.

I guess we were required to have them kissing girls and stating they were lesbians before it's allowed!
Though, I hope I'm right in thinking the commenter would have objected to a het pairing with either of them, as well. Otherwise, extra special fail.

Judging by the stupidity of the comment in any case?
I'd bet against you.
She doesn't want you gaying her characters.

I wonder if she'd object to me hetting gay characters? Probably not.

I felt the same way the other day when I had the TEMERITY to say I wasn't into a specific fandom's predilection for slashing its main characters and someone on my flist decided that meant I must clearly be REALLY SO ANTI-SLASH PERIOD EVER that it merited a de-friending even though I've known them for years and they're not even into said fandom at all. It's really fucking irritating. I'm like, um... yeah, whatever.

Sigh.

*points and laughs at the stupid*
I wonder how far this extends. Like, does Gaeta's gayness count as canon even though it was only revealed in the webisodes? I'M CONFUSED.
