Because, really, this should be shared.

[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster and I, earlier in the evening...

[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: dude.
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: What planet is Thor's Hammer on?
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: Cimmeria, why?
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: Thank you.
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: *smoooooooches*
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: Why?
*at least twenty minutes passes*
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: I needed a good planet to send Teyla to while I blew up Earth.
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: Oh.
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: Sorry. Have been typing away happily.
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: ...wait, what?
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: Er. I sort of blew up Earth?
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: ...
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: But...all the cats and dogs and wee little squirrels!
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: And also the wee baby turtles!
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: Think about the wee baby turtles, Lyss!
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: Um..
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: The Doctor saved them all and they're now living on not!Earth?
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: (eyes you)
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: All the wee baby turtles?
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: YES.
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: He is like an Energizer bunny, remember? He saved them ALL.
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: Because I know the TARDIS is big, but is it that big?
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: Dude. The TARDIS once had an entire planet inside of it... It was book-canon, but still...
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: And I guess he could take multiple trips.
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: And make Rose carry her fair share.
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: Yes, indeed.
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: Jack, too!
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: Mind, the squirrels could get a bit tricky.
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: Best leave those to Owen.
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: He's grousing, covered in bites, and sulking. *snickers*
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: Tosh, then?
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: Gwen could help!
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: Nah, he did his part. He's just bitching about it now. Tosh and Gwen were on cat-duty while Ianto rounded up dogs and the Brigadier and Doris made tea.
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: ...how about the pandas?
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: Martha.
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: Martha, indeed.
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: Donna rescued the monkeys.
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: Yay!
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: Who did Sarah Jane rescue?
[livejournal.com profile] lyssie: Ducks.
[livejournal.com profile] karma_aster: Perfect!

karma_aster: And make Rose carry her fair share.
lyssie: Yes, indeed.

Some days, so do I. Sigh.

And poor Harry got stuck with the elephants.

That's 'cos he lost a bet with Benton. Benton has the horses.

[identity profile] wishfulaces.livejournal.com 2008-01-04 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
Does that leave Yates with the pigeons then?

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2008-01-05 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Possibly. I think he started making faces at the parrots, too, and Doris muttered something about him stealing the crackers...

[identity profile] wishfulaces.livejournal.com 2008-01-05 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
Stealing crackers? Would definitely get him assigned a different duty. Bears perhaps.

THIS is totally hysterical and makes me so want to chat with both of you through IM more often ;)

Oh, I beg to differ... though I'm still trying to find ANYONE willing to top diving for an elevator at 3am.

My mind exploded from all the sci-fi references.

I need to go find my brains.

I'm very glad SOMEONE rescued the poor wee baby turtles! Blow up the planet but don't be blowing up the baby turtles, man! :)

[identity profile] karma-aster.livejournal.com 2008-01-04 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Won't someone think of the poor, wee baby turtles?

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2008-01-04 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Well, y'know. When causing the apocalypse, one is usually more concerned with chunks of rock and rates of explosions and decompressions and-- and not wee baby turtles!

[identity profile] lizardbeth-j.livejournal.com 2008-01-04 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
oh, rocks, *handwave* whatever. Save the wee baby turtles! And elephants. I like elephants.

They'll have to rename the TARDIS, the Ark.

The Doctor wasn't looking pleased as Sarah heaved the last elephant through with Harry's help--though if Harry didn't leave off cheerfully calling her old girl, she'd smack him one--and he hrumphed, "Sarah Jane, lovely though it is to see you, I'm not running a zoo, you know--"

"Oh, come now, Doctor," her hands on her hips, she glared at him, "How can you say no to all of this?"

"He's not inhumane," suggested Martha as she tucked another baby turtle into the tanks that Mickey and Jake were still setting up. "He's just not human."

"Well, he can start being one, then!" Donna snapped. She hadn't exactly been pleased when the riff-raff had descended, but she had to admit the puppies were rather adorable (even if they chewed on the bottom of her pants).

"I know he's not, but that's no excuse!" Sarah huffed at him and then moved off to help Rose with an unruly bunch of kittens who seemed to want to get lost in every crevice of the TARDIS console. Not that the TARDIS seemed to mind. In fact, if Sarah wasn't much mistaken, the old girl was glowing at the extra company.

Do not feel so! I think I may have allergies, which is OF THE SUCK. But. Not your fault.

[identity profile] karma-aster.livejournal.com 2008-01-04 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey! We totally forgot about dolphins! And whales!

[identity profile] ellestra.livejournal.com 2008-01-04 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Dolphins as usual left earlier, dismayed as always by humans' inability to understand their warnings about the incoming disaster.

[identity profile] karma-aster.livejournal.com 2008-01-04 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
And they took the rats with them?

So long and thanks for all the fish, kids!

[identity profile] ellestra.livejournal.com 2008-01-05 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Mice are just pissed they have to pay for it, again.
