your future died in the past.

1. I missed the memo that said I'm supposed to find Zoeey Deschanel a horrible actress, apparently.

2. Where is the Aeon Flux femslash? The movie is chock full of hot women kicking ass. All I've been able to find is two incest pieces. Which, ew. though if I did incest, I'd totally be shipping adult Azka/DG But no Sithandra/Aeon, no Aeon/Freya, no Freya/Inari (they were totally doing it, man), no Handler/anyone... Sigh. Fandom, you totally fail me.

3. Note to self: icons.

I didn't think she was terrible, but I've been watching a lot of Bones lately, and it took me a really long time to get past how similar her voice is to her sister's. All through at least the first hour, I kept waiting for them to find a corpse or for David Boreanaz to waltz into frame and start making pithy, flirty comments.

It's funny to watch her, because she's very obviously a kid. Which is kind of the point of the character, really. Sigh.

I'm not sure you could do a Bones/Tin Man crossover, but it would be... interesting. (Brennan would go on about the impossibitily of being carried away in a tornado, and Booth would tell her to have a little faith)

I don't think she's a bad actress, I just don't see her making any effort to convince me of that fact while playing DG. I adored her in Hitchhiker's Guide and Big Trouble, but. Eh. Agree to disagree about this particular situation, I guess?

Azkadelia, however, is awesome in her crunchy over-the-top-evil. THERE is a girl who's worked really hard for something, even if it's the destruction of the known world. Girl's got goals!

I'm guessing so. I mean, I took from her that she hasn't ever really grown up, despite her age. She's still that lost little princess, because her earliest memories were screwed with. That's gotta set anyone back.

Azka has pretty much pwned every scene she's been in, actually. I'm really hoping the actress gets more work from this. She was AWESOME. (so was mini!her)

I enjoyed her in Elf. :-) She sings well too.

I've seen her in Hitchhiker's and Bridge to Teribithia, where she was completely different people. Loved her in both (only reason I didn't fall asleep during Bridge, really)

I wasn't watching for acting so much as story.

Sorry, it didn't strike me as something to fic. Preferred the original run to the movie.

Icons? Plural? Of?

yah. Story has issues. But it was brilliant, glorious crack, with a few characters we adored. ;)

Yes, but you don't write the femslash, anyway (and I'm a fan of both, I just find the movie easier to regurgitate into fic and relationships. If I wanted to write a "fifty ways to kill Aeon"....now...)

Aeon, Brothers Grimm and something else, iirc. Don't remember what, though. Mostly that I need to do caps and then make them.

y'know, I get frustrated with that whole "OMG So-and-so is so awful", when more than half the time I KNOW it's a deliberate choice and meant to work with the character and the story. It's come up a lot with Stephanie Jacobsen and Kendra- and whether the choice works for you (the viewer in general) or not is one thing, but don't call her a horrible actress for doing her job, which is choosing to represent her character a particular way. Not every character on television SHOULD be the same, yet when we get characters who are quiet, it's always read as the actor's fault.

But I've been fighting this battle since Babylon 5 Season One, so. *sigh* (I grant there was too much theater and not enough t.v. in Michael O'Hare's resume, but he didn't deserve the roasting he got.)

*nods* Stephanie C-J was utterly brilliant as Kendra, and I'm honestly SAD we won't get to see more of her, because she was another person who could meet Kara on her own terms and keep her ground.

Oh, Michael was awesome. Damn stupid people. *kicks them*
