"It was a calculated risk." Teyla's voice was clipped, as though she'd said that before far too many times and the discussions were beginning to wear more than thin.

Elizabeth ignored her tone, saying, "What if--"

"No." Firm, Teyla interrupted her by standing. "We have said these things over and over, Dr. Weir. I understand the risk I took--far more than any of you--and I will not apologize for it."

Elizabeth Weir looked as though she would argue for a moment before she slowly relented, and nodded. "All right. I simply wish..."

Understanding what she'd been going to say, Teyla finished, her voice soft, "That I had told you of my plan. I know." Relaxing slightly, she explained, "Elizabeth, I knew that I could block my own knowledge of my plan, but any conversation would be difficult. There was only a small part of me that she did not... touch." Admitting that was almost too much, Teyla realized.

Quite obviously still not happy, Elizabeth nevertheless let it go. For the moment. She squared her shoulders and mustered a slight smile. "Are you free for lunch later?"

"Yes, I would be." Especially since her teammates were as angry as Elizabeth, if not more so, and had been avoiding her for the last several days. Teyla thought it was a little hypocritical of them: after all, she and they had risked their lives and Atlantis countless times to do their jobs in protecting the city and Earth. The only reason they were upset was that she had done this on her own, she supposed. That, and that she was determined not to apologize for it.

Her ability to sense the Wraith wasn't always an asset, but in this instance, it had been. And she was going to be damned if she'd give up an advantage.

"Then I shall see you later." Elizabeth's smile widened slightly before it slipped away as she turned to her paperwork.

Amused and knowing how Elizabeth and paperwork frequently lost all track of time, Teyla inquired delicately, "Shall I have Chuck set an alarm for you?"

"No." Shaking her head, Elizabeth tried to glare, "I'm not that forgetful."

"Only sometimes," was Teyla's parting shot as she exited Dr. Weir's office.

Later, she was certain Elizabeth would protest her methods in getting the final word. For now, she would bask in the current win and ignore her own misgivings about the wraith queen.
